I would hope so that physical aiming is not the concern. But based on Cameron's comment that hitting certain parts of the dragon (be it the wings, or the legs) make a different, i seriously doubt that they are trying to focus a single player experience than a party based RPG.

 

Seriously if they want to make a 1 MAN Skyrim, please make another game. I gladly buy it. But not force a single player combat focus on a party-based RPG.

 

I don't think you're understanding. I'm sure that should you choose, each member of your party could attack a different area of the dragon, or you could choose to focus the fire on a specific area. They aren't talking about making you hit one area by skill, they're talking about making you think about disabling one part of the dragon to nullify a particularly dangerous attack. It's MORE tactical, not less.

I hope we will finally see what a FemQunari Inquisitor will look like at E3.

I've been dying to know how she'll look like since they announced the Qunari will be a playable race  ^_^

 

We've already seen her in a few pieces of concept art, actually. Though agreed in looking forward to seeing her in-engine!

The countdown to E3 is driving me craaaazy!

I am going to devour every little snippet of information given.

 

I'm itching for a downloadable CC demo or something - but I know it's just a dream! I hope we get a glimpse at it though, I want to see how unique we can make the Inquisitor look and the different qunari horns available etc.

If there's a difference where you attack (which part of the Dragon be it the legs, the wings or the tummy), then the game is in no way tactical. I hope they have not made this game turned onto a single player Dark Soul?
 
How is this applicable to people who play tactically? Top-down. Am i forced to OTS (over the shoulder) view and manually targeting where i should hit the dragon? This ain't sound good tactically.

I think it could very well work like this. Excuse my poor mspaint mock-up, it's made to be proof of concept rather than to look good ;)

Worth mentioning:

 

IGN has a 20-minute slot for Dragon Age: Inquisition on Tuesday June 10 (click the "Show Schedule" button). 

 

Their preview video for E3 also says there'll be new footage from DA:I.

 

Even if a demo isn't shown off during EA's conference, I'm betting that 20-minute slot is where it'll be. Possibly playable by fans or attendees on the show floor too.

I wonder if the devs ever feel like the information they release is just getting dunked into a piranha tank.

 

No matter how much you drop into the tank it wont be enough to sate the fishies.

I think they're sticking with one health bar, but there will be certain affects to you doing a certain amount of that damage to one part of the dragon, such as doing it enough to a leg will make them stumble or limp on that leg, enough to the wings maybe they won't fly around as much.

I wonder if we can customize the party members tactics in such a way that we could prioritize which enemy body part should they take out first, like having sera specialize on taking out inferior limbs(legs) to decrease their movement, or having varric shoot their hands to make their attacks less accurate or even disarming them.

This is a super neat idea! I think this would be a great way to implement and customize battle and make it feel more personalized.

I doubt it in the tactics menu, this is probably something that you'll have to do through individual orders, like treating a body part as its own enemy.
