Dissed as in insulted?

As in criticized. He basically said that the combat felt weird and while trying for both tactical and OTS combat styles, it doesn't fully nail either. He then said he isn't a big DA fan anyways; so didn't really know what he was talking about.

Was the game actually playable on the show floor? Aside from these stage demos I've heard little else :(

No, there was no hands-on, only the demo(s, since they showed 5 different character types, human rouge, dwarf warrior, qunari mage so on.)

It was playable in the sense that it was being played (I think by Blair) live in a booth.  But not to the general public.

But I mean, technically someone could hold the entire booth hostage and demand to play the game themselves... right?

Well it does occupy a sort of middle ground. It's not quite a tactics RPG (Fire Emblem Natural Doctrine) and it's not quite an action RPG. It occupies a sort of middle ground. While a lot of people like that (me) a lot of people feel it should go one way or the other.

So is their footage of the other characters aside from the Qunari female and Dwarf Inquisitor?

"The darkspawn are an evil that must be destroyed, it's true. Though not as evil as the birds... damnable feathered fiends!"

"I would appreciate it if it didn't spread around that I said anything. Humans might start to get the wrong idea. They might start thinking their race is not completely hopeless."

As a gameplay demo? Not that I am aware of. Some might pop up, but I don't believe they showed any other characters.

Well in any case, this thread has served its purpose. I'd like to thank everyone who participated, be it by being helpful providing links to trailers and / or livstreams, for commenting and posting your opinions, or simply lurking. We got a lot more this year and from what I have gathered the general appeal is that most people enjoyed what they saw, which is always a success. So here's to next convention and I believe the waiting for DA:I won't be as cruciating as before, considering it is not so far away. Or does it get even worse as we get closer? :D

Either way, thank you!

That seems to be the tone of quite a few people on the web. I'm honestly looking forward to it and I like what the videos have shown so far but obviously we're gonna have to wait and see what the final game is like. DA2 seemed promising at first, but...

Yeah, he sounds English to me too.

Dorian's accent is definitely English, but his voice actor is (I believe) also East Indian, so you will hear a bit of that in it, as well.

I am choosing not to take that seriously.  It sounds like they didnt really enjoy origins much and DA2, though it has its problems, its not as bad as they say it is.

I don't suppose you'll be kind enough to give us a name, huh? :(

I'd settle for a sound clip I don't think I've ever heard Dorian speak.

I heard him slightly in one of the demos from E3, when at the end he says you can't move or they'll all die. It certainly sounded English there.

I posted the most likely since he is more local. But without a voice it's really just an educated guess.

Awww, EA claimed copyright over the Dwarf!Inquisitor demo... I never got to see it :(

Maybe they plan to release the demo with various race/classes during each section? Pretty please...?!!!!
