I always by level 7 choose duelist to have better strength and defense so i can fight more and have an advantage alot of time =}

If you chose this path then let it shine on here =]

Well, it actually increases attack, not strength. If you did pick Duelist over Ranger, you'd need a better reason than the attack/defense boost. Rangers pets have a lot more DPS, and they scale. I'd have to think anyone who did pick Duelist would do it for Upset Balance/Pinpoint Strike, unless you specifically want to RP a duelist.

I only pick it to boost some defense on an archer. Then by the time DAA comes around, I have so many points I invest more in melee just for kicks.

Duelist is a helluva lot better in DA2 though.

If you're just looking for a defense boost, why not use Defensive Fire/Master Archer.It does slow your rate of fire, but it gives a +15/+30 defensive boost.

No reason really. I'm just in the habit of relying on Rapid and Aim in DAO. Then do nothing but Accuracy in DAA...which is just uber.
