The other day the host migrated once or twice, and my incendiary ammo got turned off. Has anyone had this type of thing happen to them? I'm wondering if it was a one off thing, or some common issue that I haven't heard about.
A question about host migration.

Working as intended.

Yes consumables going to inactive has happened to myself and others during migration.

Yes, this will occasionally happen with a host migration .. it's great when you're pugging platinum and you lose all your consumables

I keep seeing this about "losing consumables". You don't lose consumables, you consume them. And the moment at which they are consumed and gone forever is the moment at which you equip them and press ready.
There's no point in crying over spilt rum, or something like that.

@marksmad - I think you have misunderstood my statement. IDC about using up consumables. I do care when it's wave 2 of a Plat match and there is a host migration, and I load in with no consumables. Bye bye AP IV, bye bye Cyclonic IV .. good to have you for the first round anyways.
I'm not a super pro-leet like many on this forum, so carrying a Plat PUG thru 9 waves with no consumables equipped is a challenge

I don't believe that I have misunderstood, I'm only saying that it happens and that you have to be philosophical about it.
Think of it as the game's way of telling you to HTFU.

Yeah, I just noticed this like 4 days ago too. Pissed the heck out of me too because I was really getting used to the Barrage Gear + Stability consumable making my Crutch Cane not kick at all. I was like "Did I just lose my consumables? Dam Krogan is too big to see my ammo mod on my gun. Better get into hard cover... YES I DID?! >_<" And I went and checked to see what was the case on everyone else, and yep, only I got screwed. Everyone else had their ammo powers for their weapons. >_<

I think I always loose the ammo sign on the gun but not the effect. I am not sure about the other slots anymore.

Jeremiah tested that quite extensivly.

Well, you definitely notice when you lose a stability mod. So yes, I can confirm for sure I at least lost that.

mmmm... had this happen the other day. Worst timing ever, bye bye AM3 on my TSol spitfire. Though that isn't as bad as wave 9 spawn nuking and the host leaves. I'll never get those 3 missiles back

This is why I don't stick around for host migration.

Usually when the host leaves it turns it into a solo run for me and it's usually the pizza run, great...I've gone off pizza since playing this game...

I had a weird one where host left like wave nine, and after we finished after host migration and back in the lobby again, I notice I got the "happy joy, joy" glitch of not losing my consumables. Only one missing was my fire ammo consumable. So I must of lost that during host migration and not of noticed it? So this should prove that it's a lottery and you could lose either or, or none?... And I can't recall for sure if I did in fact still have ammo powers in the heat of the battle of them last 2 waves? Since I was detonating my Krogan Sol Inferno nades with Carnage. The gun I was using was the Turian assault rifle, and really couldn't tell if that was doing more or less damage? Either way, would like to know some solid answers to this...

A good 95% of hosts disconnecting (often seemingly in rage less than 2 seconds after being downed) results in my completely dropped out of game entirely, rather than migrated to another host.

You aren't getting 'free' equipment to use -- the gear was used in the match the host left. The gear slots just gets re-populated in the same manner. If nothing is in the slot that's because you are out of it. Hope this makes sense! Wish it did work like free gear but LOLno,

It's true, I am, at least when I'm reading BSN. Think I must be allergic to whining.
So, while we're asking questions, why are you so sniffy all the time?

Because I'm dead inside and am devoid of compassion.

Because I'm dead inside and am devoid of compassion.
That is indeed a plausible explanation.
