I mean, I can accept Citadel as DLC because it has, to be honest, nothing to do with the main plot and doesn't take itself very serious but From Ashes and Leviathan? Especially Leviathan. It should just have been in the main game.

No one can tell me otherwise from ashes was ripped directly from the main game, Javik's dialogues and interactings with the main game is unlike previous DLC characters such as Kasumi and Zaeed

The from ashes DLC was available day one on release day, somewhere on the old social site there's links to a few articles about that. As far as I know the Leviathan DLC was not released until after and really has no effect on much of anything. Not that I don't understand what you're complaining about it, it just seems to be a mute point since no mater how many of the dlc's you buy it won't change anything the game still ends the same 3 ways. You know varying stages of red/blue/green.

Regardless of the Day-1 DLC discussion, let me share my thoughts on this....

You know, I'm a big fan of Bioware games. My major gaming platform is PS3 (DAO. DA2, ME123), but I do some PC gaming from time to time (SWTOR, Old school bioware games on Steam...)

Regarding the ME3 DLC prices, I've put on hold the purchase of Citadel and Omega. I was waiting for a sale or price cut to come up. I mean, 14.99 USD for a DLC is too much money. The ME trilogy it self is being sold for 29.99 USD, and it includes 3 amazing games with hundreds of hours of gameplay.

The outcome is that I quit playing ME and jumped into AC4 and Skyrin now...

You pay, or you don't! We all had to, stop being GREEDY! Mass Effect 3's DLCs for Single Player is a lot due to the Multiplayer Content being entirely FREE and a lot of people play it! They need to make a profit somehow with their DLCs.

They made more than enough profit with their sells of the game alone. I, being stupid, bought it at the start and it wasn't cheap. Should've waited until price drop. But yeah, you pay or you don't.

Ohh please multiplayer content being free is no excuse, for the over price dlc and day 1 content crap.

Well, if you don't like it don't buy it. No one's making you buy it. I've bought all DLCs twice for two of my platforms. Hey, if you want to pay for MP DLCs fine, but they make no money with free DLCs.

Wow with reasoning like that, i don't think anyone would even wonder why the gaming industry is drilling consumer for ever plenty, honestly really don't care if you bought all of them twice, thats your money, but i'm not going to pay 15$ bucks for a 2 hour dlc, thats just 4 dollars less than the full game and the same price as the first game which i can get 100+ hours out of. There isn't even a DLC bundle for christ sake because they want you to pay 50$ for the story dlc seperate and you're calling the players greedy? are you serious? so because they hand out a few character packs they should overprice dlc

GREEDY? By sharing my opinion that 14,99 is too expensive for a 4 hour game?

If you paid twice, well, congrats... You may have your reasons...

And if no one complains about the price, well, why don't charge 50 for that? Or a 100?

No one wants it for free... I just would like a price that I consider fair to purchase.... But hey, as I said, I'm playing others games right now... Don't really need it...

And, by complaining here on the forum, it's our way to show bioware that "Hey, there may be some potential customers who like our products and want to purchase our product... But they think it's expensive.... ". And if they are selling thousands do dlcs daily, they won't make any price modification... However, IF the sales are going down the hill, some revenue might be better than none.

One more thing: there will be a moment when the price won't make a difference... When people like me buy PS4 (Or an Xbox one for that matter since both are not compatible with current gen consoles), no one will buy a DLC for the old console...

Best regards, Matiello.

PC mod your weapons, armour, etc. to save some of the cost. Full missions with no voicing are not quite the same as studio released cut scenes, but some great mods exist already and other huge games have basically made themselves open to it from the start, like skyrim. I've played more mods than cannon in the long run I figure. Tearing apart a game after you play the original is awesome and free. But totally agree, EA goblins can go insert a cranial obstruction in their cloacal. Um... yeah I have the DLC as well. Feeling dirty...

While I enjoyed the Citadel DLC and found it worth the price I have a problem with DLC in general.

Before digital distribution there was full games + expansion packs. Expansion backs were about half the price of the full game but in return you got new races, brand new content, etc.

These days (And I say this in general, not purely about Bioware) it seems like DLC is just a suckers game, it's like a lucky dip of what you'll get for a set price. I get particularly cranky about people who release DLC that should have been part of the main game, but that's another story.

The problem is, lots of people continue to buy DLC, so companies will continue to produce DLC.

To each their own, this is my opinion.

I agree OP.  I just want a discount on PC Mass Effect 3 single player dlc ( even a small discount would be better than nothing).  The silence from Bioware and EA is what is bothering me the most and making me loose interest in Bioware's future games.

I don't mind paying for the dlc as long as it is a)cheaper than the price of the original game and B) Has friggen content. I don't know if everyone remembers Reckoning but that also had dlc on day one, it was the arena. Heck I am just glad that the dlc for the game adds to the storyline and gives more variety to Shepard's character. Most dlc is just new costumes and guns. Heck how many people here play those fps online games where if you want to be the best you need to pay to win? To be fair I am ok with paying $15 for each dlc as long they are as big as Citadel or Omega. But if the dlc becomes subpar I won't buy it.

Also when Mass  Effect 2 was out they did also release the special edition that had some of the dlc for free. Heck ME3 for the wii has free add ons doesn't it? If you don't want to pay for add ons then don't buy them. You still have the original game. DLC is just there to improve the gaming experience it doesn't change the core game.

I think the surge from the recent sale on the base games should tell BioWare they could move lots of DLCs if they discounted them similarly, not to mention all the noise we've been making for it to happen for so long. They don't even have to discount BioWare points, all they have to do is adjust the points costs of the DLCs. It's their right to care as little as they seem to about it, but it still leaves a bitter taste.

Do be aware that EA own rights to Mass Effect and everything must go through them. For those of you who don't play sims, EA makes you pay for each piece separately. You like this sofa? That will cost you real money. The sims shop is insane and I am pretty sure EA won't lower prices as they think high prices equals maximum profit.

I wish if I owned something through EA, I would own it on al platforms.  Or at least give an option to own things on all platforms.  That would actually be a benefit of signing into Origin.

That is a shocking amount of money, I thought $55au for FROM ASHES+OMEGA+LEVIATHAN+CITADEL was too much. Even if it did add 12 hours to my play through.

Edit: I've never bought DLC for any game outside of Mass Effect I don't actually agree with the practice at all.

At some points, it's makes me laugh when Leviathan DLC cost is 800 Bioware Points, while Omega and Citadel is 1200 Bioware Points.

Well about Citadel, is a good price, but about Omega i guess 800 Bioware Points might be better, because.

1: Omega offers only three main missions, with only three side quests durning the missions.

2: Omega is not a pernament hub, so you can't revisit Omega.
