So far I've completed a city elf DW war, and halfway through both a human berserker & a Dalish elf rogue duelist.
I would like my next playthrough to be much more adventurous and fun, as I havent really completed many side quests, plus i will admit to not being that good at the tactics and combat so i struggle A LOT with dragons and Revenants.
So, thanks for advice for any suggestions and advice
Suggestions of next race and class for next playthrough?

I highly suggest giving a Dwarf a whirl. I've played a human warrior and a city elf rogue... but neither compared to my Dwarf Commoner in terms of story.
People constantly comment on you being a dwarf, and at least the commoner origin, makes Ozimar a totally different experience.
BUT people really don't comment on you being a mage or an elf enough, and being elf or human really doesn't make that big of a difference story wise as being a dwarf. Plus a Dwarf Templer is a BLAST to play. You literally rape the crap outta any magic wielder.
There is NO DOUBT the dwarfs got the royal treatment in this game. The best origins, the biggest effect on story, and a racial bonus that rocks socks.
All in all I suggest a Dwarf Commoner Templer or a Dwarf Noble Templer. Being a mage killer is actually surprisingly different and fun.

LOL!! Sloth do you like nugs by any chance?
Hrrm ok back on topic hehe....was going to suggest paladin, but we have templar, was going to suggest necromancer, but we have bloodmage, how about a mage that can cast pets..kind of a magician type like EQ1 had back in the day? Elemental pets I should qualify.

I found the mage origin very compelling. But human or elf, it doesn't make a difference. It's always fun to make somebody uncomfortable by admitting to being one, too.

Before you start a new campiegn, just play through the Dwarf Noble's real quick. It is truly the best of all the origins, by miles actually. It's so damn good it actually feels out of place amongst the other origins.
However, I can vouch Dwarf Commoner is a steller origin in the long run of the game.
