Preaching to the choir here.
While the Chantry isn't directly oppressing non-humans especially elves. They are quick to turn a blind eye to such injustice, just look at the conditions of the Orlesian alienages in Orlais, the Capital of the Chantry. Didn't the Divine force the empress to put-down a revolt of one of the alienages?
One reason why it needs to burn.
The army puting down thieves and murderers is a bad thing now?
They may not be in the business of restructuring entire quarters of one of the largest cities in Thedas, the only reason there are elves in the first place is because the Chantry recommended mercy after the Human-Elf War of the Exalted Age.

Nah, but I dislike the fact that there are no Elf nor Dwarven Templars; whether that is doctrine or a design decision I don't know.

Supposedly there are elf Templars. Just very few of them.
Dwarves, well,. you need dwarven Andrastreans before you can have dwarf Templars.

Yep, their natural strength, aggression, and magic resistance would make them perfect Templar Paladins and Vanguards.

Varric can't be the only dwarf who likens the Chantry to "nice Grandmas" and says "Maker's breath" from time to time. He's a few steps away from becoming Andrastian.

I'd say he is, culturally at least. He doesn't appear particularly devout but he use Andrastean terms and he claims to like the Chantry. He also doesn't appear to worship his ancestors.

I'd just say he doesn't have any "stone sense". Not sure that means proactively Andrastian. He actually entertains the idea of hoping Bartrand is in a better place or needs some prayers though.

Easily the best MP game I've ever played.
But yeah, too bad about it being MP only.
I played it for about an hour or two a night for 2 weeks.... when it first released.
I don't think I have touched it since sadly.
As per the thread topic, couldn't one ask the same thing of the "religion" that the Dalish and Dwarves believe in?
