What type of bad ending and how many separate DLCs will I have to purchase to get PvP added to ME4? *rhetorical question*
This argument is over 20 years old. PvE and PvP players will NEVER get along (in the same game). I've got the chatlogs backed up on an old laptop to prove it. I play both environments, so it's a nice change of when switching between games... emphasis on the switching of games.
One benefit that PvE has is gamer-chicks. Not because I get to exercise my pervy tendencies (although it was a game bonus added when I bought the Collector's edition), but because it's a nice change of pace from the virtual fanboys dry-humping each other in PvP. It's nice to be able to talk about something other than our normal 'no girls allowed' conversation.
You don't need to add every possible game element for a game to be successful. Enhancing what you already have sometimes works out for the best.
OMG.. the fear/hatred of CoD players. Talk about prejudice and stereotyping..
Couldn't agree more. I have no love for CoD, but the hate the CoD games and it's community get is a little ridiculous. Especially since I come from the BF community where even mentioning CoD is equivalent to a crime against humanity.
You get the good with the bad in all games. You know what ME3MP has more than CoD? Worthless PuG teammates. In CoD, coming across good players worth getting to know is commonplace, in ME3 finding someone I can call a good teammate is pretty rare. Why? Bc a lot of ME3MPers have no shooter background.. they are RPGers who play on easy mode and 'content surf' their way through the story mode focusing on romance and things like that. That's fine.. if that's what they enjoy, great. It doesn't however, make them a good MP teammate.
Couldn't disagree more. Other than FPS players having better aim (and even that is debatable) I see very little to no difference b/w playing with friends who are mostly FPS players and friends who have limited or no FPS background.
I'd argue that being good at ME3 is more about understanding (and sometimes abusing) game mechanics (RHA, reload cancelling, spawn patterns etc..) rather than being a good shot or knowing how to clear rooms, move tactically, corner correctly, put down suppressive fire or other tactics that FPS's teach.

People just enjoy hating on stuff regardless of what it is, and the more popular it is the more vocal people will get about hating it.
but the CoD community does have the reputation that it does for a reason.
Gears of War has both a PvE (horde mode) and a PvP mode their community seems pretty balanced.
Dude, that is the biggest load of sheeeeit I have ever seen on a blog.
I'm not playing a competitive game for "benefits" I'm playing it to kick some serious arse.
People who do not understand the mindsets of competitive gamers should not try and write blogs about competitive versus non competitive.
Titanfall, is not a competitive game. No more than ME3 is anyway. You can have PvP, without making your game competitive.
CoD is not a competitive game. It's a casual game. Perhaps if you're playing CODIV in the ESL, it's competitive, but not otherwise.
not sure if i'd play it, but I also can't think of a good reason not to try it.
If BioWare had taken the majority of this community's advice for ME3's multiplayer this forum probably wouldn't exist right now
I think a PvPvE Thunderdome mode would be pretty balanced.

I absolutely loved CoD 4. I haven't really played any CoD's since but that game was a blast.

Pero me gustaria tener la opcion de hablar Espanol en este forum. Ni me deja escribir accentos en mi mierda ordenador! ![]()
Well, if they had PvP in ME4 MP it probably wouldn't be just be "optional" -- surely they'd add both trophies/achievements/challenges for it, too, so you'd have to do at least a little PvP. Example -- The Last of Us: to finish the platinum I suffered thru the minimum multiplayer games, offering myself up as a pawn for more experienced players to buff their kill-feeds. Not fun but the completionist in me pushed me onward.

SPANISH KROGAN!!! FOR EVERYONE!!!
Zomg, cuteness overload! ![]()
One or even a few experiences with PvP douchbags doesn't define the PvP community as a whole. Competition doesn't always equal douchbaggerry. Competition can be a good thing.
Edit* I've seen a plethora of virtual friendships form as a result of good competition.
imao the only places where enemies will type "wp" instead of "fock you" after you outplay and kill them (not all tho) are e-sport rts. so lol and sc.
I might be wrong but as far as I can tell, bf and cod alike are not good games to find friends on the other side of the map.
How do you think so many clans are formed? From hate and douchbaggery? I've made good friends playing cod. I've been in many full cod parties that weren't filled with foul mouth kids. Despite the rep, cod and bf brings people together like any other coop game would. Not just those 2 but Street fighter 4, marvel vs capcom etc.....
