Where does it say you can't pick it up in store?
On the front of Gamestop's store page. The news boxes it cycles through, one of them is for Dragon Age and it says "Online Only".

The Art Book really should be in the CE too.
Agreed, that is the one thing that's missing that I would have REALLY loved, an art book. That's actually my favourite pre-order thing to own from any video game. I spend forever flipping through them.
Considering Skyrim's CE was around $150 (if I remember correctly) for nothing more than an art book, making of dvd, paper map and dragon statue...yeah....I don't find this CE overpriced for all that they are including. ![]()
I think the bottom line is, for hardcore DA fans who have been longing for just this sort of thing, this CE is great news! There was nothing offered for DA2 but the Signature Edition, which just came with some digital extras, and I'm not sure there was a CE offered for DAO either (I could be wrong). Anyway, I am extremely excited to see this franchise finally get some really awesome physical extras in a CE, as well as all the amazing digital content included in the Deluxe edition, and I'm more than happy to pay for it. I'm also super grateful to BioWare for going to the trouble to make this available for us.
With all the editions they are offering, it seems there should be one to appeal to everyone that is also not too hard on your pocketbook. ![]()

That's weird. Gamestop always does instore sales too.
Maybe you can only Pre-Order it online for now.

What about the journal? There could be some artwork in there.
Uhhhhh......

I was reading somewhere its online only for they are making only the copies that pre-sell, so it will be shipped from where its being made to your house and skipping Gamestop stores altogether (of course I could be wrong).
That's actually one of the better collector's editions I've seen, and I can understand the steep price for all bling you get.
I desire, need, and want this CE.
man I want this but, i'm not going to use any of that stuff, so i doubt i'll get it.

when you order it online it tells you.
I want this box so much... But I guess it won't happen in Russia =(

For fans of such things, thats a mighty gift indeed
Deluxe Edition it is for me then... but seeing this as an EB Games exclusive like GTAV I doubt I'll pull the trigger for this one. As much as I loved Dragon Age: Origins, Deluxe should suffice. $200 is way too much. With 13% tax, yeah pass....
Where the heck are you that they have a 13% tax?!
hi I live in Australia and I like to know if this collector's edition come to my way ?
I'm with Xerxes52. The physical bling is nice for those who want that sort of thing. Go crazy, kids!
But since the only item listed that I found of real interest was the cloth map, it'll have to be the Deluxe Edition for me.
This is better than I had hoped and have pre-ordered!

Eventually, yes. Probably via EB Games.
please release a mid range bundle for 70-80$ that includes SOME of that stuff... i would pay 70 just for the vanilla release PLUS that map!!! i would love a color thedas map!!! and maybe those tarot cards!!! man i cannot stand the wait for this game....
I just bought a $400 scale replica of the normandy two months ago!
I so want this but my fangirl rampage is burning a massive hole in my weeping wallet.
200 dollars for yu-gi-oh cards are not worth it.
I have no need for a steel case, does it protect from fire damage?

I know you weren't quoting me, but I'll respond. I'm currently in Canada where tax is nearly 15% (in Québec). I've pre-ordered the PS4 and PC Collector's Editions and the total with FREE shipping is 459.88 CAD, with each edition being 199.99 CAD. So yeah, tax is high... I've pre-ordered both because I'm not sure on which console I'm going to be playing this on, but I definitely will cancel one of the pre-orders before the game comes out.
Speaking of pre-orders in Canada, apparently, the Collector's Edition for the PC is sold out on EBGames Canada. Depending on how high the demand is, I might either cancel or resell (for a profit) one of the Collector's Edition (the one I don't use).
