I really, really want this edition, but, the price is definitely going to make me go for the Digital Deluxe instead.  I mean, the physical goodies are amazing and I'm 100% sure that I could, within a few years, resell them if I so chose, for a profit--assuming the game is good and sells well enough that people would want it.  The problem is that I don't have that much spare cash lying around.  If it'd been $30 extra over the regular Deluxe edition I could justify it.  But at more than double the cost of the next edition down of the game... I don't know.

 

Maybe if they released a version with just the steel case?

 

Much as I want all this stuff I KNOW I shouldn't spend that much.  Ah well.

Well I put my pre-order in online at GameStop a few hours ago, yay right?

Who the hell knows I got no confirmation email, it doesn't show up on my order history and nothing on the credit card which I wouldn't expect there to be on a pre-order but at this point at least it would be reassuring! Bang up partnership there Bioware/EA way to instill confidence in your consumers.  And yes I will be bugging Gamestop tomorrow but if Bioware/EA actually bothered to give us a few choices who could go with a business that gives a damn about their customers.

It will be up on the EB Games website eventually. If EB Games Canada has it, the Australian one will too. They're just late with the updates.

 

(But probably at $200 or something ridiculous.)

I am of the slight disappoint currently. I went into my GameStop and they stated they didn't have the CE available yet in their system for preorder.

Anyone else experience this?

Eh, looks sort of boring. There's nothing in it making me feel "I must have this". Would have liked to see a statue of the Inquisitor or something; the one from the gamebox, wtih a close faced helm so you can't tell their gender.

Does anyone know if anything has been said regarding plans for a DA:I Deluxe Edition Upgrade on Origin? (Much like has been done with ME3 in the past)

Because I really don't know if a $209 Collectors Edition with just a Standard Edition of Inquisition included (that knowing EB Game's practices may not even come bundled with the Flames of the Inquisition Gear advertised on the SE page) is actually worth it in Australia.

Knowing whether Australians (or any people in other countries with similar problems) can buy the collectors edition then use Origin to pay ten or so dollars extra and get the SE included upgraded to a Digital Deluxe Edition (again, as looks to have already been done with ME3) would go a long way to ease the pain of deciding whether to invest in the collectors box or not.

Or is it just smarter to order the Digital Deluxe from Origin and forgo the collectors edition (which would cause me a great deal of pain) completely?

Too rich for my blood. I'd have paid for physical deluxe but the items in the collectors don't do squat for me. The lockpick set has me . Also Standard DA:I for Australians in the Collectors? Double . They get less of my money.

$209 is actually cheaper than I expected for the PC edition. I was guessing $220 AUS.

 

Since I already paid $50, I should be able to pay it off in a few more instalments over the next five months.
