I just read this entire thread, and Dammit, People! Stop trying to talk me out of my pre-order!! I already pre-ordered it, and I want to see what is in that damn hidden compartment!

*snickers* ohai

Secret compartment may or may not be 50% of the reason I pre-ordered.

Hmmm, yeah, this is make or break for me. I'd love the Collector's edition bits and bobs, but not as much as I want the digital stuff. So if the game that comes with the Inquisitor Edition is only the standard version then I'll preorder the Digital Deluxe from Origin. But if the CE comes with all the digital bells & whistles as well as the collectibles then I'll get that. Some clarification would be nice, please, if any BioFolks in the know are reading this thread :)

Laidlaw tweeted out that the CE come with the in game content from the deluxe version.

Am I the only one who misses the days of "Collector's Editions" just having some minor "bonuses" instead of all of this over the top stuff? I don't really need *insert items here* with my game...

I remember the times when such stuff was part of a regular edition ;)
Take Ultima 4 for example. It had a cloth map, a metal ankh, two big books and a reference card - and this was the regular edition.

But I am very excited about this collector's edition of DA:I. If only they would let us pre-order it for PC in Europe, too...

Also I am bit confused... On the gamestop site it says that cloth map is approximatley 22" x 32" but here it is said that the map will be approximately 14" x 17". So how big will the map be?

Now we're even lucky if we get anything besides the game with the regular edition. At least there's still the "Deluxe Edition", but how they can call it "deluxe" I will never understand.

Which is why I'm relegated to only purchasing the regular edition these days.

Heads up: GameStop is stating on website, when u checkout, that the CE is NOT available for in store pickup. ESO CE was the same.

So, I got a PC edition that I can pickup in store at midnight and then ordered an Xbox one CE that I don't much care when it arrives as I just want the goodies. Eventually.

Ah, for the days when I walked out of GameStop at midnight with my gigantic Skyrim CE.

That is actually quite clever. Gives the chance for the buyer to lockpick a 'chest' for themselves. Hopefully it will be harder than a mere "insert the lockpick = done".

I doubt it will, there are several lockpicks of different shapes and sizes. But if it is just "insert and magically unlocked, I will be severely disappointed

Yeah, and I suspect BW wants people to unlock whatever is hidden in the hidden compartment, otherwise face irritation / rage from people not being able to unlock it.

I heard there was a secret compartment and I was like "OMG I MUST HAZ NAO" I just told my mother it had a lockpick set and she offered to pay for half of it, and I still have to take a second job to pay for it. She may be planning something sinister.

The phone exchange made me sound like I was 10 years old and asking for a High School Musical backpack:
Mother: Why would you want a $170 game?
Me: But it's not just a game! It's Dragon Age Inquisiton! And it's the Collectors Edition!
Mother: You're not a collector
Me: Yes I am!
Mother: I am not buying you a $170 game.
Me: But Ilikesocks' mom is getting her one!
Mother: I don't know who that is.
Me: But it has lockpicks!
Mother: Lockpicks?
Me: Mmhmm and they open a secret compartment.
Mother: Can I borrow the lockpicks
Me: I....guess so.
Mother: I'll pay for half. IF I can use the lockpicks.
Me: OH THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Mother: But it's your Christmas present.
Me: Awwwwwwww. But whyyyyyyyy?
Mother: *Hangs Up*

Lulz. My mom is pretty rad, considering I'm such a pain in the ...butt. She loves me and my nerd ways, though! Plus I'm the baby. Gimmeeeee XD

It also states this for the Deluxe Version. They basically broke my heart with this nonsense.

I know. But over in the Twitter thread, Mike (I think) also responded negatively to someone who asked whether the Uber Edition would be getting all the same digital content as the digital deluxe. And the EB Australia website is indicating that the Uber Edition comes with the standard game, not the deluxe game. It's fine either way, I'll pick up the version that contains the most digital content, but it would be great to get some further official clarification before I preorder.

Sadly, I am the 5th child of 7 children. So no special privileges for me.  :crying:

Wait, WHAT. I thought the inquisitor's edition came with all the physical what nots AND the digital what nots! Dude, if it's $196 for IE+shipping+tax then it REALLY should come with the deluxe edition stuffs. If it doesn't, I'll probably just cancel the order because that's just a little cray cray. Mmmkay.

Aye, at £130 the Deluxe Collectors Edition  really shouldn't contain the standard  version of the game! Has this been confirmed?

Goody! As Aveline once said, "Thank the Maker for that!"
I really can't deal with any more crap from GS right now.
