My Gamestop must be the exception. They've always been really nice.

Mine, too.

Everyone's mileage will vary on that, though. I mean, I do live in a relatively small city, so that breeds a bit of a different "store experience atmosphere" than larger cities. *shrugs*

I wouldn't worry too much about the CE being "sold out". It is very unlikely the CEs have been produced yet.

This is either plain misunderstanding or a marketing trick.

They haven't produced them yet but according to Dev's on twitter, it will be a very limited run so they'll have limited numbers for each country so that they can actually produce them all in time.

At least in canada they aren't sold out yet. EB games website says they are but I walked into a store and preordered one.

Any reason why in Europe it is not for PC owners?

It could be that there is no physical Deluxe edition.

So there is literally no deluxe edition discs to put in the box. Now why they can't add the standard edition and a code to download the digital extras I don't know....

or maybe they just hate european PC players,we are pretty fickle.

Also does anyone know the size of th box. On the USA Gamestop it says:

Highly detailed exclusive Inquisitor Collector's Edition case produced by TriForce measures approximately 8.5" x 13.5" x 14.5"

On the UK:

Highly detailed exclusive Inquisitor Collector’s Edition case produced by TriForce measures approximately 3.5” x 7.5” x 11.5”

It would seem certain countries will get substandard Inquisitor's editions!  Not only is the box smaller for Australians and UK (and maybe other countries), but everything else seems smaller too.  The map is smaller, the war pieces are smaller, etc.  What's the point of releasing a smaller collector's edition?  At least Germany seems to be getting a full-sized editions!

Why does EA always screw some people over?  Between the countries that aren't getting it (France isn't even getting it and yet it's one of the few languages getting voice overs!), countries getting it but getting smaller versions of it for more than what Americans are paying, or countries getting Inquisitor's editions but not for all platforms (not for PC for example), I just don't understand.

After the debacles with Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3 collector's edition.  Why does EA have such a hard time with collector's editions?

This seems incredibly unlikely; WHY would they make one version about 2/3 size of the other one? Could use an answer on that though!

I would have said tariffs and shipping costs, but if they are doing the same **** in EU too, than it's just a blatent rip-off. I would invest your money elsewhere. When American companies do this stuff, it only breeds more hate towards Americans in general, sad, but true.

Who knows?  To save money probably.  I'm just basing it off of the dimensions given for the box and for the items, by comparing the US/CA dimensions with the UK/AU/DE dimensions.  Only DE seems to be the same size as US/CA.  Why would they give different dimensions for it then if they're all the same sizes?  The only explanation is that UK/AU editions are indeed smaller.  I wouldn't be surprised if this were the case.

Is anyone else upset about the fact that in the US at least gamestop has it as an online exclusive? I am because now if I want the collectors edition I sacrifice not being able to get it at midnight, and also have to pay extra for one day shipping just to be able to MAYBE play it the day it comes out. This is ridiculous.

Nah, I'm still really annoyed about it too. I went back and forth a bit to determine whether I was principled enough to skip this, but dammit. This is the only new game on my radar that I even have any interest in for the foreseeable future, and Bioware is still just about the only developer I have any real interest in supporting.

As a completionist, I've always been annoyed with vendor exclusives, but at least in the past, it was limited to cheesy DLC items or weapons. I could still get my collector's edition from wherever I wanted to. Even despite that, I've always stuck with my neighborhood Gamestop, which has never personally disappointed me. Would really have liked to pick this up on the way home from work on 10/7. Instead, $200.32 later, I'm just hoping it's gonna be there waiting for me (and no one steals the damn package from my foyer).

All I know is I'm going to be sitting as close to the mail room as possible all day that day until it shoes up.

Not much of an update on the PC version for UK/EU but I thought I'd post it anyway for everyone who is waiting like me:

Pfff, I'm done. 60$ more because I live in Europe. Scr** yourself EA. Looks like I'll buy two copies of The Witcher 3.

P.S.: Currency conversion isn't done by slapping the sign for the other currency behind the same number...

Any info on getting this here in Brazil?

To import is already expensive, but to import from gamestop is being acceptable, they don't ship using USPS, only UPS, and the taxes here for this type of transport is around 130%! Can't do.

I feel the same thing as you other guys, being a European.

I still can't fathom WHY there is this for console versions:

And this for PC (NO Deluxe Edition):

Still waiting for updates since I don't want to miss out my preorder.

It's already annoying that this is available only through GameStop.

The official Facebook page said it won't be avaiable to Brazil. On twitter, Mark Darrah said he has no clue about anything, it's up to Gamestop. But Gamestop doesn't ship the Inquisitor's Edition to Brazil, I tryed with the US and the UK stores.

Um,quick question (that is really dumb but I can't let go of my hope yet) ,maybe one of you can help me:

I'm so desperate for the Colllector's Edition that I preordered it despite not having a console (no PC version available) figuring that I could just sell the console version (game only obviously) and so get the money back I'll be spending on a PC version of the game. However there's also no Deluxe Edition for PC available.

So my question is: are the codes for the game and the deluxe content somehow linked to the platform? or could I register them on origin and download the PC version from there?

From what I have experienced with all BioWare games since Dragon Age: Origins the bonus content is platform specific, this is just a guess but it might have something to do with how the keys are generated between the different platforms.

:Thanks. I kinda figured that already but I thought asking anyway wouldn't hurt :)
