Recollecting now… Months before the release of Dragon II, I inquired about a possible Collector's Edition for that game in the series. I was so disenchanted when I received an unsatisfying 'no’ as my answer. This time around, I did not have to query; I am so pleased, actually zealously delighted to learn that there will be a Collector’s Edition for the next instalment in the Dragon Age Universe. And this Collector’s Edition will not be an ordinary one; it will be extensive and impressive.
Hence, I cannot contain my enthusiasm when I learned of this. What has elevated this euphoria that I am currently experiencing in me is what I learned and read about this new instalment, Dragon Age: Inquisition. Bioware is going back to reclaim its roots, and it will merge what worked in both of the previous instalments it has produced thus far: Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II. The instalment’s tittle itself speaks volumes for me. It is what I had hoped Bioware would do: explore this wondrous world, for so many stories can be told or fashioned from it. As for the price of this Collector's Edition, it warrants it for me. (I’m still gawking at its contents; just cannot wait for it)
Being a Medieval enthusiast, having the quill and ink-set among the rest of the goodies…? Well, Bioware, you've outdone yourself on this Collector's Edition, and I am the merrier for it. :-); although I'm walking on cloud 9 for its contents, the inclusion of a gender neutral cover that can only be inferred by the person who's viewing it, is very clever, but expresses more and means so much to me (it is what most of us female players have asked for in Dragon II). I am female, thus I see a female protagonist... a female inquisitor on the cover. Thanks for this subtle nuance there Bioware. This displays to me that you do indeed listen to your fans. An accolade to you there Bioware!
