Got a call from Gamestop (Norway) informing me that they have the collector's edition for PC now, so had them switch my pre-order from the xbox360 version (which I was going to give to my girlfriend, sans the collector's stuff, if no PC version came) to the PC version. According to the norwegian website, which has been updated to include the PC version, this edition also includes the deluxe stuff.

the item description says it does, but on the other hand it seems merely copy-pasted from the description of the console versions. The name of the PC CE does not also say Deluxe though, unlike the console versions. I did not ask the employee who called me up.

I decided to purchase the Inquisitor's edition. When I called my local Game Stop, he said they were not shipping this game to the stores, it's coming directly to your home address. Got on the website, all set to place my order but it says the game won't ship until 10/7/14. Even if I get the one day delivery, I won't get this until 10/9/14? Is this the information everyone who ordered this edition is getting too?

All they gave me was that it'd be incredibly weird if the biggest version did not have the digital stuff. I guess if the deluxe stuff isn't there come launch, I could complain about faulty information on their website...

EU release date for DAI is Friday 10/10/14, so them dispatching on 07/10 makes sense. Hey, if it turns up on the 9th good for you and I'll be jealous if mine doesn't.

It's only for UK 10/10, for the rest of EU it's 09/10.

Some PC editions of the Inquisitor's edition don't come up with the Deluxe Edition (and its bonus content), but they should be slightly cheaper than the console versions.
The intention is that you can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition and get that content.
And what are people in BeNeLux supposed to do? I want the CE (for PC), but we don't have gamestop, and gamestop in the surrounding countries doesn't ship to Belgium or Netherlands. I guess that means EA/Bioware don't want my money...
Frankly, I consider this whole CE exclusivity deal a big fiasco, and as is, if I can't get the CE, I'll probably not buy the game at all right now. I may just wait it out and try to find a used CE for a fair price on ebay (just for the physical goodies), and then I may buy the Game of the Year edition of the game, with all the DLC included, once it's on discount somewhere in a year or so...

Not at all. By itself, giving one retailer the exclusive rights to the CE isn't a bad thing... as long as that retailer is available everywhere. For example, if Amazon had the exclusive rights to this, then I wouldn't have a problem, as Amazon ships (almost) everywhere. But Gamestop? They're only available in a very limited amount of countries, they don't ship outside of those countries, and even inside these countries, you often can't order it off their website and you have to order it (and pick it up) at a physical store. Giving Gamestop the exclusive rights to this CE was just about the worst decision EA could have made.
There's a big difference between exclusivity and unavailability. EA should have at least excluded countries that don't have a Gamestop (and where Gamestop doesn't ship, which is usually the same) from the deal, so that they could make another exclusivity deal with a retailer in those countries (or EA could sell it themselves, in those countries).
I'm confident CD Projekt will do this a lot better, with their Witcher 3 CE... now THAT is one CE I am looking forward to with confidence, and a company that I will gladly give my money to, as I feel they deserve it. EA doesn't!

Oh, this is final decision? Hm hard to understand, but if they dont want my money then i will buy Dark Souls II collector edition.
Ah well thats a shame. Guess I'll keep my gold for the Wild Hunt. CE.

I can confirm this is also the case for me.
More and more it looks like they aren't taking preorders for the CE in-store, just online. And yes, One-Day Shipping seems to suggest delivery by 10/09, a couple days after launch. Fine by me.
