The question I have with that issue is that BioWare/EA making that decision or Gamestop? For BioWare/EA could be supplying an equal number of the game versions to Gamestop they just decided to keep the PC version away from the UK/Europe market.
It's EA. Gamestop may be the one deciding that they're not interested in selling PC CE versions in the EU (maybe they think there's not enough demand for them), but EA is the one who gave Gamestop the worldwide exclusive, INCLUDING in countries where they are not active, and for versions that they're not selling (and Gamestop only ships inside the countries where they have retailers).
Which means people in all those other countries are unable to get ANY CE at all, and people who want a version that isn't sold by Gamestop in their country, are out of luck as well. Unless Gamestop compensated EA very handsomely for all the sales they don't get that way, this sounds like a very bad business decision to me.
Not to mention a lot of dissatisfied (potential) customers...
