Man this is really disappointing.
First the time exclusive with Xbox for DLC, now not even PC distribution for the IE in Europe.
Fantastic way to make PC gamers feel like the third wheel of EA/Bioware.
This is not Awesome at all.

You can import the physical Deluxe Edition for PC via www.play-asia.com
I asked them if they could offer the Inquisitor's Edition, too and as soon as I get an answer I will post it here.
I replied to GameStop UK with the following:
Thank you for your reply.
This is indeed very sad news but, given what I’ve been reading on the BioWare Social Network forums, it’s not really much of a surprise! It seems that GameStop made the decision to completely ignore all PC gamers outside of USA by not offering them the chance of purchasing the Dragon Age Inquisition Collector’s Edition for PC! What makes this worse is that they are selling all the console versions of the Dragon Age Inquisition Collector’s Edition via their international GameStop websites!
Sorry but if GameStop have deemed me and my fellow PC gamers outside of USA as not worthy enough to be able to purchase the Dragon Age Inquisition Collector’s Edition for PC then I at least will deem GameStop as unworthy of EVER receiving an order from me! I trust you will understand this and I hope that you will pass this on to your management team to let them know that their decision not to sell this particular product anywhere outside of USA has not only lost them sales but also any future purchases that I (and probably many others) may have made!
I can’t help but notice that your website advertises the slogan “The World’s Largest Video Game Retailer” which, as far as I can see, is clearly a lie because GameStop have clearly chosen to exclude every PC gamer outside of USA from being able to purchase the Dragon Age Inquisition Collector’s Edition for PC! That is not what anyone would expect from a company that makes such a bold claim!
Yours sincerely
15 minutes later I received the following reply:
Thank you for getting back to me.
It is sad news, yes.
I perfectly understand your frustration, and I am sorry that there nothing more we can do in this matter from the Customer Service Team. I will however pass your concerns on to my manager for future reference.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.Kindest regards
I get the impression that GameStop aren't really overly bothered or concerned about the prospect of losing any potential custom over this decision which seems to me to be a very strange reaction from what is supposed to be a business! ![]()
Well, I guess it's now time to consider what I'll do in regards to Dragon Age Inquisition. Not that there's much of a choice, but that's down to EA's clearly bad decision making in regards to the distribution of the PC versions of the game outside of USA! ![]()

They won't be able to offer the Inquisitor's Edition/Collector's Edition on any format because it's exclusive to GameStop. That means that no other retailer anywhere in the world can (currently) offer the Inquisitor's Edition/Collector's Edition for sale. The only chance any PC gamer outside of USA has of acquiring a copy of the Inquisitor's Edition/Collector's Edition will be after the game has been released when the usual e-bay scalpers will be selling copies for insane prices!
As with importing anything, you will be responsible for paying any import tax that your country may apply and you really must check beforehand how that will be paid! I ordered a PC game from Play-Asia a few years ago and, while the courier paid the import tax on my behalf, they then presented me with a bill for that payment plus their fee for paying the import tax!
I pre-ordered the physical Deluxe Edition on Amazon.com. They already charged taxes, so I guess/hope that's it. And for paying a little extra, I even get it on release day.

I guess you have paid VAT in the USA in that way, but import duties + local VAT might still be in order... I had that when I ordered DA:2 via a British company, who apparently shipped it from outside the EU... It arrived two weeks late and I got a nice bill from the postal company for customs clearance and VAT... So never going to do that again.
Welp looks like I am boycotting DA:I. This whole thing is unacceptable EA.

Hmm. That can be. I tried to find some clarity on the internet, but nothing ![]()
Maybe I'll cancel that and stay with the Standard Edition on Amazon.de. They already confirmed, that there will be an upgrade available someday. So I will just wait a few month for the extra content then… It really sucks...
I've ordered several times from the US (biowarestore, jinx, etc.) and had it delivered to Germany. I remember that the orders from Blizzard's shop got through right away. When the packages are not labeled correctly you have to go to customs and get the package yourself, with your order certification so that they can check. Then you have to pay a bit more and it depends on the price of the order, but I have yet to pay more than 15€ for this process. For a game such as this I'd say if you have to pay at all (Amazon may take care of everything for you), it should be less than 10€. No guarantees, of course, but based on my experience it should be like that.

It could of course be much better in Germany. I just have had bad experience with Dutch customs multiple times when shipping from outside the EU. As far as I know, Amazon does not ship DDP (delivery duty paid: i.e. everything has already been paid and customs cleared (and costed for!) when the goods arrive). Actually, it says on their website that you'll have to pay any additional costs yourself: http://www.amazon.co...odeId=201119100
I too have had bad experiences with import duties... I've been charged €33 (import duties plus administration costs) for a shipment worth $115 (fairly standard electronic equipment, nothing special). Then again, I have also had a few times when I wasn't charged anything even though I expected it.
So be very, very careful when buying good from outside the EU (importing them into the EU).
However, someone here recently pointed out to me that Amazon.com *does* now have a DDP option for some countries - see

Amazon charged me with 18$ taxes. Do you think that's it or do I have to pay twice?
Well I gave up on pre order for now. Will wait until closer to release to decide.
Well after looking at my options it looks like i'm going to get a console version and sell the actual game on, but now i'm frustrated all over again about the lack of a physical deluxe edition, and the standard edition pre-orders split up the flames of the inquisition pack too!
18$ sounds like an expected amount, so I'd guess you're fine.Amazon charged me with 18$ taxes. Do you think that's it or do I have to pay twice?
I guess they just don't care, because they're not interested in PC games. They're only for console gamers....
And what's even weirder is that they DO sell it outside of USA. They have Shops in 16 countries around the world and sell the PC Version in 8 countries. In USA, Canada, Australia, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.... So why not everywhere in Europe???
That's the part that really doesn't make any sense, why sell the CE in just a few select countries, especially when they seem to have chosen to completely ignore the European/UK markets that would have a large potential market!
Whatever financial deal EA made with GameStop it certainly seems to be a very bizarre one! ![]()

As I've said before, the EU has a lot more residents than the US, Canada and Australia combined (all of which have the IE as well as the physical DE for PC) which means more potential customers. Would be interesting to see whether TotalBiscuit will say something about this once he gets his "WTF! is" out for Inquisition (although by then it will be too late)...
Well some of you at least have the option to buy the Deluxe edition from Amazon.
My situation is downright pathetic - I can't, because apparently Amazon does not do business with my country. I honestly feel like I live on Mars or perhaps even in another Galaxy. Apparently not in a country that is in EUROPE and part of EU... huh...
I don't even... ![]()
Fascinating.
Anyone else with the same problem here?
Also the fact that some of the people here are actually considering an import from Asia. ASIA.
Talk about a more clear sign that something is seriously messed up. If that's not a clear indicator that a company is actively sabotaging it's own sales...I don't know what is.
Someone needs to get on this.
A.S.A.P.
Then again...I'm just repeating what so many before me have said already. I just hope that someone from Bioware is reading this. And that they actually are thinking about possible solutions and doing something in that regard. It would also be nice, if we could get some kind of reply - so we at least know that we are not being completely ignored or overlooked.
Ridiculous that this needs to be said so many times.

Have you checked gamestop.com (US store)? They have a very extensive list of countries they'll ship to... (I have my Deluxe edition on order with them)
You may have to pay customs \ handling taxes etc when it arrives...
A few of my friends are threatening to boycott DA:I as a result of not being able to buy a CE or physical deluxe edition. These are customers that have bought every Bioware RPG since Baldur's Gate in '98 (god makes me feel old!). I can definitely sympathise with them, it is definitely disheartening to be treated as a second class customer or as a guinea pig in some marketing \ business strategy experiment to boost sales of the Origin Digital Deluxe Edition. (I can understand why EA would make that decision, they will make considerably more money from £59.99 spent on the DDE than they would from £49.99, possibly £59.99, spent on a physical version bought through Game etc...)
That said I am weak and am unable to resist the call of Thedas, so ordered my physical copy from the States... however I'll be damned before I'll buy a DDE unless it is either substantially cheaper than the physical version or it has better \ extra ingame stuff. (damn those electronic shinies!)

I too have bought every Bioware game since they were founded (I still *feel* like a kid, though... does that count?), and I'm a big fan. I just don't like EA. And the only way to make them even notice us and think about this whole thing twice, is if it hurts them business-wise... in other words, if this results in a large group of people not buying the game at all. If you instead buy the deluxe edition or standard edition (possibly elsewhere), then it still counts as a sale... EA wins.
So yes, even though it pains me, this will be the first Bioware game that I'm boycotting... for the time being.
