Maybe, but NWN1 took a long, long time to create and release, had many people, etc. I get the idea that New is More Expensive, but does not appear to track with other rising costs. And this is not only on Bioware or EA, but the gaming industry in general.

Well, I caved. I bought the IE for 360. I already played the previous 2 on it before I had a PC so I figured that would be the better one :/

Apparently, no physical deluxe for EU. Only way is through origin or having it shipped from something like Amazon.com or Play-Asia.com. Or buy regular boxed version and hope for deluxe upgrade pack (which is a possibility)

No it's not a possibility, as the Deluxe Edition is exclusive to Amazon (apart from the ones in the Inquisitors Edition). But as we have seen above, enough people are willing to buy a different version instead, so to EA it doesn't even make a difference. Figures...

No it's not a possibility,

It is, EA has a habit to put Deluxe packs on Origin for PC games, ME3 even has the digital content of the collector.

There are plenty of stores here (where there's still no Amazon or Gamestop) shipping the Deluxe Editions, although no PC version...

Plenty o stores sell Deluxe editions (not for PC in EU however), so it is very likely NOT an Amazon.com exclusive. Offical sites lits other US stores like BestBuy, Target, etc as "retailers". So what you calimed it simply wrong.

And, according to the FAQ on official site, there will be a "upgrade" for deluxe at some point (written as a solution of this cockup with no physical editions in EU and Australia)

Perhaps it will be something like with the special edition for DA:2, where your game would get updated automatically if you'd preordered (unless you stated that you did not want the update)?

Given the very high probablity of having to pay for it (because PC Collector edition in australia costs less, because of no Deluxe in it), it will probably not be automatical

So, I talked to the people at the local Gamestop store directly today. Like I mentioned in a previous post I wanted to ask them if they could get the CE delivered from one of their US stores to them. They can't. They've asked management before because apparantly they have a list of several people who are interested in the PC CE. Still, the answer is that they can't get it this way. So it doesn't look like there's any possibility left for us to get the CE. :-/

If you know someone who lives in the US, you can have them ship it over to you.

I know it's probably not something you haven't thought about already, but it's worth considering. GameStop really only ships within the US.

Digital editions are apparently Origin exclusive

Its probably the same as any other EA release since Origin that they are making the digital Deluxe version exclusive to Origin, but if they do the same thing as they did to Mass Effect 3 they will offer the upgraded version for the cost difference on Origin in the future.

I certainly hope that there will be a "Deluxe Upgrade pack" for the price difference between standard and Deluxe (10€ or your regional equivalent) as soon as the game launches, because it would solve so many problems this distribution decision created...

There was for Crysis 3, and I believe the upgrade was immediately available for Mass Effect 3 as well.

Seems to be an increase in comments about a "Deluxe Upgrade Pack", I haven't seen anything "official" about this yet so is this just speculation or has someone seen something from a BioWare employee (maybe on Twitter or elsewhere)?

Seeing as European PC gamers cannot purchase the physical Deluxe Edition and the physical Collector's Edition is all but unavailable in Europe as well (only available in a very few European countries) it would really be helpfull to know what (if anything) EA and BioWare are planning to do as some sort of appeasement to European PC gamers sooner rather than later! That is, of course, if they intend to do anything at all to try and get away from the "discrimination against European PC gamers" that seems to be their current policy!

Not in the UK, the Deluxe Edition is exclusive to GAME here, at least for all consoles (PS3, PS4, XBox 360 and XBox One) and they also offer both the physical and digital versions of the PC standard version which comes with the Flames of the Inquisition Armored Mount pre-order bonus.

There is, currently, NO physical PC Deluxe Edition available anywhere in Europe or UK so the only options are to either buy the standard version (and hope EA releases a "Deluxe Upgrade Pack" on Origin), buy the digital Deluxe Edition from Origin or import the physical Deluxe Edition from Amazon.com (which will cost more due to import taxes and shipping).

As we now know, there's virtually zero chance of most European countries getting the physical PC Collector's Edition and seeing as GameStop (USA) won't ship outside of USA there's no chance of buying one from them to be imported! :(

This entire fiasco is simply a big "Screw you" from EA to all European PC gamers, clearly they consider the European market as insignificant and not worth the effort of providing physical copies of this game!

Its from this comment in the official FAQ for the Inquisitors Edition on the Dragon Age website.  Then they have done in in the past with Mass Effect 3's N7 edition on Origin.

Why is the PC version of the Inquisitor Edition less expensive in Australia?- Due to us not having the Deluxe PC Edition available in Australia at Retail, you will receive the Standard PC version in your Inquisitor Edition at a slightly lower price point. You will have the opportunity to upgrade to the additional digital content separately, when it’s available.

Ah right, not sure how much faith I'd place in that though, especially when the one right before that is:

When can I get the Inquisitor Edition on PC in Europe? - We'll have more information on the PC version of Inquisitor's Edition in Europe very soon.

As we now know the PC version of Inquisitor's Edition is NEVER going to be available to the majority of Europe, just a few select countries. But that FAQ just gets better:

Where else can I get the Inquisitor's Edition? - The Inquisitor Edition is a Gamestop exclusive. It is only available in regions where Gamestop currently ships.

That really should be changed as follows:

Where else can I get the Inquisitor's Edition? - The Inquisitor Edition is a Gamestop exclusive. It is only available in a few select regions where Gamestop has chosen to ship.

So tell me, how much trust do you put in an FAQ containing those sorts of errors? :o

Have asked the EA DA community manager in UK to look into it. will see if he responds, he's usually quite good.

It is an assumption based on the official FAQ, which lists it as a "way to get Deluxe content" for Australian Inquisitor Editions that contain only Standard version of the game (and are cheaper because of that). And it is also assumption based on the fact that several EA games that had deluxe editions had something similar (ME3, Crysis 3, SimCity).

Yeah, I understand where it's been taken from now as it was pointed out earlier, but as I pointed out in my reply, 2 of the answers in that official FAQ we now know contain incorrect information! I'm not saying that a Digital Deluxe Upgrade Pack won't be available, it's just that EA aren't exactly doing much to instill any confidence in their attitude towards European PC gamers over DA:I's release!

This debacle has been going on for over a month now and yet there's been virtually NO communucation in these forums from BioWare staff about what's going on regarding the European release (or rather non-release) of the physical Deluxe and Collector's Editions. Forum users have had to ask about this on Twitter to get answers from BioWare staff, why aren't they posting updates about this on their own forums?

I just have a quick question, anyone know if I buy the Inquisitor's Edition will it come with a code on origin that I just activate?  Cause my laptop doesn't have a CD player.
