Could someone more "popular" with devs try to tweet them (Mark Darrah / Mike Laidlaw probably) if there will be a deluxe upgrade? i tried tweeting them both but got no answer

It's not on Gamestop.de. You have to order it in-store (and you'd better be quick, as their supplies are extremely limited).

They will only reply if they have something positive to report. They don't like to reply to tweets when the answer is "no" or "we don't know yet".

 

 

So, to summarize several of the previous posts... after all Mark's efforts, and after a month and a half of waiting, the situation has changed in exactly... one country? Scandinavia already had the IE, and nothing changed there. UK and France didn't have the IE, nothing changed there. Most of the other countries in Europe still don't have the IE. Only Germany now has the IE. Yay! Progress!?!

Most of Europe still don't have physical deluxe edition/IE... or actually anything else but the standard edition for the PC... after several months of waiting... /facedesk. And to taunt us even more: those few countries that DO have it, refuse to ship it abroad...

The worst part is, that the lack of a physical Deluxe Edition for PC is intendet. So all countries, that don't have Gamestop won't get any other Version, than Standard or digital..

I really don't understand why anyone would make such a decision..

The worst part is, that the lack of a physical Deluxe Edition for PC is intendet. So all countries, that don't have Gamestop won't get any other Version, than Standard or digital..

I really don't understand why anyone would make such a decision..

To let everyone who is not living in the US know that they are inferior and they don't care about us as customers, what else? (Well ok, that won't really be the intention... but it is how it is making me feel... I really wanted the CE (been saving up for it), but it is denied for me, for living in the wrong country. And I don't want to get it of Ebay, as I want Bioware to get my money, not some bloke who has been ninjaing the CE whilst they don't want it at all.

i dont think that EA will stop the production for pc games. they earn more money with 1 copy for the pc than with 1 copy for the consoles as they dont have to pay for license and can use their own servers and dont have to rent some from MS or Sony. also it is not that difficult with the latest consoles to create a port for the pc.

at least dont forget that most publishers including EA work with some hardware producers and i think AMD just paid some money to EA for the mantle support.

PC games are cheaper probably by exact the same amount EA has to pay for licensing and EA uses their own servers for their games sadly.

the CE is now officially listen on the gamestop website, but currently unavailable. but i have preordered it today anyway. so again thanks to whoever foudn out that u can do it in the store =)

I ordered 20....no it's showing, but won't actually let you purchase it at present, but get ready as at least it's acknowledged now.

The Deluxe Edition is still unavailable, I think. At least you can't order it from Amazon.de. So, does the CE contain the standard edition of the game in Germany or the Deluxe Edition? If it's the SE it would be similar to the Australian version. I'm just curious.

I asked the clerk and he said it would include the digital content. And it costs the same as the PS3/Xbox360 CEs (160€). I don't know why, but the PS4/XboxOne Versions cost 10€ more, even though the DEs cost the same for all consoles O.o

Indeed they are, however, it seems they have a policy to charge the full amount of any order as the credit card authorisation, even for pre-orders on items that won't be released for a few months! This isn't actually made clear in their FAQ, so anyone thinking that they can pre-order now and be charged prior to shipping make sure you have sufficient funds available on your credit card when you place your order! Also be aware that the authorisation fee can be held for between 2-7 days, sometimes longer, but that is dependant on your bank/credit card company.

 

Usually credit card authorizations are for a small fee (around £1.00 etc) but for some reason GameStop UK charge the full amount of the order! Figured I'd put this bit of information here for the benefit of others to avoid being caught out!

Same here. I drove to my local GameStop store this afternoon and asked one more time about the physical Deluxe Edition for PC. Of course, there isn't any. And then I thought: "Screw it. After all this I should get the CE." So I pre-ordered it. They told me that I could still cancel my order if I should change my mind. I feel a bit bad because I am not as excited about the CE as some other players are. The DE would have worked fine for me. But oh well... On a side note: I really wanted to make sure that the content of the CE was the same as for the DE. So, I asked the clerk and our conversation went like this:

 

Me: I've got a question. Is the digital content of the CE actually the same one as for DE?

Clerk: No, it's not the same. With the CE you get... well... a collector's edition. It includes usually a map and a staute. Hardcore gamer buy that".

PAUSE. I'll stare at the guy, ready to strangulate him. Then I reply as calmly as I can:

Me: I know what a collector's edition is. And this one comes without a statue. That's fine. I would like to know what the digital bonus is.

Clerk:  I don't know.

Me: Can you look it up?

Together with his collegue they browse through a folder.

Both: Sorry, it doesn't say anything about the digital content.

Me: Well, isn't there another place you coud look?

They open a drawer and take some papers out. The information is finally writen down there. So, yes, the CE contains the same bonus stuff as the DE.

 

But man, was I pissed. I'm sure this only happened because I'm a woman. Sorry, if that sounds unfair, but I would really like to know how many male customers they usually explain what a collector's edition is. Hmpf!
