They have it. I ordered mine in store. They propably have to look it up on there computer.

As far as I see it, the german website still lists all deluxe content for PC. Mark Darrah has only confirmed, that Australia isn't getting the DE, but I belief he's looking into it.

We could do with someone asking him about the UK's PC version as well.... if someone could be so kind...?

How are you ordering it from the States when they don't deliver outside the US? Do you have a US contact to get it sent to or some such?

(cross-posted question for both crowds)

No sorry. Just getting the physical version of the deluxe edition from the US. Cross posting.

According to EB Games (the Aussie Gamestop) we are getting Deluxe Edition in the Inquisitors box, but apart from that no other Deluxe Editions are coming.

Already done ;)

That's strange. I guess we'll have to wait and see. They still have 3 month to figure it out. I hope we'll all get the same stuff!!

Thanks ;) and yes, it's waiting time now.

We could also do with knowing if this "deluxe upgrade" is really a real thing as well, so standard versions can be upgraded to deluxe versions.  And how much it will be.  And when it will become available.  But there isn't much DLC info for DAI on Origin right now, unsurprisingly.

Since the posts here were about the UK version, that's what I was asking him about on Twitter. He just said that it's like this for the Australian version and it'd be $10 cheaper. He didn't say anything specific about the UK version afterwards, but replying to another user he said if the EU PC CE is 10$ cheaper it wouldn't include Flames of the Inquisition gear etc. We'd be able to buy that seperately.

I'm just hoping for clarification on all of these versions. When I ordered the German PC CE it wasn't 10€ cheaper as far as I know. I guess I'll have to check that as well. All of this just seems rather chaotic....

That's what's strange. It does list all digital content on the website, including the Flames of the Inquisition Arsenal. And it costs 159€, as do the PS3 and the Xbox360 Versions. But the PS4 and XboxOne Versions cost 169€. And I don't get why these are more expensive. The Standard and Deluxe Editions all cost the same.

I talked to my friend at the GS store again and he said that the CE in Germany should have all the deluxe content. That's what his pre-order list says (same physical and digital content for all platforms) and he also called their marketing department/store support and they said so, too.

I really don't get why different countries in the EU or in general get different content even though it's the same edition....or should be, rather.

This is the email I got:

Begins

Thank you for contacting GameStop

I am sorry to say this but we have now just been informed that the information regarding the deluxe version of the game we have provided you with is not correct.

I sincerely apologize for giving you the wrong information regarding this, but the PC edition will not be including the deluxe version.
You will however get bonus content with the game that is not yet revealed.

I am really sorry of this, it was not in my intention to mislead you like this.

Ends

There's something about paying £129 for something and then paying extra to get content that should come with it. So I've cancelled it and ordered it from the States.

I have now received confirmation of the same:

"I have gotten an answer regarding the Deluxe version for PC, and it seems like there has been a misunderstanding.

"I can now with a 100 percent security say that unfortunately the PC version will not come with the Deluxe content. There will be digital bonus content, but they have not released what it will be for the PC version yet."

So now it is a matter of deciding what to do about it.  The odds that I'll manage to snag a CE box at this "late" stage (compared to when it first became available) are probably quite long anyway (in other words, I'll come near the end of the queue and they might run out before they reach me) but if the "deluxe upgrade" isn't horrifically expensive I can do that.  Otherwise, if the CE doesn't come my way and my order gets cancelled or downgraded for me I can always cancel it and order the digital deluxe version on Origin instead, if it happens sufficiently ahead of time.

So it comes down to do I really want the box 'n' stuff (and to pay for the upgrade) or do I want to cancel my CE order and just go straight for the digital version right now?

I've got a while to think about it.

(cross-posted again for helpful informativeness)

I take it neither BioWare nor EA have given any sort of real explanation as to what's going on with the UK PC Inquisitors Edition? Seems to be some confusion as to what is actually included because GameStop UK's website lists the Skyhold Throne, Red Hart Halla, Bog Unicorn and digital soundtrack but without the Flames of the Inquisiton gear. Now we've got some replies from GameStop UK's customer service saying it does not include the Deluxe content, but doesn't the Deluxe include the Skyhold Throne, Red Hart Halla, Bog Unicorn, digital soundtrack and the Flames of the Inquisiton gear? So what digital content does the UK PC Inquisitors Edition actually include? All I'm seeing is that it includes some sort of Bonus Digital Content that is, so far, unannounced! If so then it really needs to be a lot more than £10.00 cheaper than the console versions! I see that the Digital Deluxe on Origin costs £59.99 but if all that content is not included in the UK PC Inquisitors Edition (and the Australian version) then why is the price reduced by only £10.00? :o

Why can't anyone at BioWare give some straightforward answers to our rather simple questions?

Because they simply don't care?

We're already massively overpaying for it compared to US prices ($170 for US vs $220+ for the UK version, sterling is at $1.70 now) and now we're getting less content to boot. I think this is Bioware/EA's way of throwing our tea in Boston harbour (yeah that's right, with a 'U' in it).

Well, I don't know what the price difference in pounds is, but in Euro's the digital standard edition on Origin is € 59,99, and the digital deluxe edition is € 69,99. Difference exactly € 10. Origin also has a nice comparison chart on their website of what's in the standard edition and what's in the deluxe edition, so you know what (not) to expect in the inquisitor's edition...

I still don't understand why they can sell a digital download code for deluxe edition content, but can't include a piece of paper with that same digital download code in the inquisitor's edition box. But then, I can't get the IE anyway (no gamestop here), so all this doesn't really apply to me anymore, as I'm not buying the game anyway.

It's the same price gap. £49.99 for standard and £59.99 for the deluxe, again we get a crap deal for us as 59.99 euro is actually £47.70 going on the basic principal that 1 euro = 80 pence.

Do they honestly believe we don't notice the price whoring we get in the UK? 1$ = 1 Euro = £1 in America apparently.

So don't buy on Origin. If you dislike how they treat you, vote with your wallet.

On a sidenote, UK actually *does* get the better deals for the standard edition, even if the SRP would suggest otherwise... it's £39.85 on Amazon UK (~€ 50,20). It's € 54,99 on Amazon DE, and on a lot of other western European online retailers.

I used to buy a lot of stuff on Amazon UK, when they still had free shipping to the European mainland, as prices in the UK are usually lower than on the European mainland (for the exact same stuff).

What annoys me now, is its what 3 months to the release and they still haven't announced what the other content is going to be... come on seriously that should have already been buttoned down and released.

It definitely is. Thanks for sharing this. I definitely hope someone from Bioware/EA reads this, because let me make myself very clear:

If we can expect more such exclusive deals from EA with Gamestop in the future, then this may very well mean that I won't ever buy an EA product again.

With internet initiatives such as Kickstarter, where you can give power to the consumers (give them the opportunity to get exactly that version they want, while supporting product development early on, regardless of where in the world they are located), why would any game company hand over that much power to one specific retailer (an on top of that, a retailer that doesn't even operate worldwide)!?! To me, that's like going back to the stone age!

And lets not forget the physical deficiencies of the EU edition:

EU collectors box dimensions - 3.5” x 7.5” x 11.5”

US collectors box dimensioins - 8.5" x 13.5" x 14.5"

EU cloth map dimensions - 14” x 17”

US cloth map dimensions - 22" x 32"

EU war pieces dimensions - 3.5” x 2.5” x 3”

US war pieces dimensions - 3.5" x 3.5" x 4"

Also it says that the lock pick set is to unlock a secret compartment in the US box but it doesn't say that on the EU (possibly because it is smaller and doesn't have a secret compartment)

I hope this is all a typo, but if not we are getting inferior product without the digital extras for a higher price.... Yay.

Bioware/EA/Gamestop are a terrible combination for special editions and they need to have a word with Ubisoft.

If this would be actually true(/correct/not some strange measurement conversions) I'll be very angry. I can't hartly believe that the EU edition would be any different than the US one.

It could be that they made a smaller edition so that the EU could actually get an PC edition too. I would expect that the smaller stuff is easier to produce and that they could only made this work on the shorter notice. Of course that would mean that they really didn't plan to release anything (or a PC edition) in the EU which at the very least would be disappointing in that Bioware doesn't care about there EU fans at all.

I really hope this is all not true, but with how they handled the CE edition I can't shake the feeling that it is at least posible

It's a typo, Mark confirmed that the larger size is the correct one.

The first dimensions that were released on some sites were incorrect - they might've been the ones I used in the OP, but in any case every edition has the same dimensions.

*delurks for one post*

"Any word on a physical deluxe edition for PC in Uk/europe?

BioWareDAI  Likely not going to happen. Items in it will be made available for purchase separately. - Mark"

(Quoted from aaarcher86 over at the Twitter thread, thank you to whoever asked about it on the Raptr Q&A, I really wanted information from Bioware on that issue.)

Sighs :( Seems like I'll wait until the Standard Edition is cheaper, since I can't buy the digital version on Origin and importing is not an option where I live.
