Because they didn't feel obligated to make a homosexual/bisexual character for your squad?

Its their game, they make the choices, if it doesn't work out then it reflects in the sales.

Oh, cause going for someone outside of your species really requires them to be the opposite gender.

This, and it's a different game.

This. Yes, we all know bioware is awesome at creating diverse characters but they don't always have to swing either way unless they were written that way.

The real reason is that there aren't enough threads on the boards about it, so Bioware wanted to up their traffic.

Because Commander Shepard is a republican.

Honest answer?
I think it probably was just a spacing and coding issue. They'd have to pay for another set of dialogue and insert it for characters already packed into a game with two discs. I think that there's no reason they couldn't have made Jacob bisexual or one of the female leads. But Bioware has a pretty good track record with homosexual relationships.
I think we'll see some for ME3.

There may yet be an F/F fling with Kelly. I've heard femsheps can flirt with her, at any rate.

What? He's saying they aren't written to be homosexual which includes aliens.

No Casey Hudson stated at best Buy Chat that there is no F/F romance. Possibly flirting but nothing more then that.

Space. Pure and simple. There are already 3 romances per gender (not including Kelly), and this game is already on two disks.
My advice is to scream like mad for a same-sex DLC. I mention it when I can.

So...no problems romancing aliens with a completely different biological makeup, razor sharp teeth, mandibles, three toes and fingers, but the thought of romancing humans of the same-sex would be outrageous?

He said no F/F romance, he also said that Kelly isn't a romance. She's a "fling".

It hasn't been completely written off yet... I'm probably just grasping straws but there have been people talking, bottom line is that nobody can confirm or deny it until the game is released.
