It's supposed to be "your story" given the limitations of the parameters set by the people who made the story tree. Much like a choose your adventure book, if there wasn't a page where you could turn to to see your relation develop with your same sex partner then you were out of luck.

There are no ME2 writers or devs who are comfortable writing a homosexual arc, because I suppose none of them are homosexual and don't feel inclined to write a sub-par, misunderstood, or just cheesy homosexual relation.

You all will just have to deal with it.

So they had no problem for EVERY OTHER GAME BIOWARE HAS MADE, but this one they just can't F***** do it huh?

Right, because Bioware uses the same people for every game they make.  They couldn't possibly have different teams.

So what if they use different teams, it's one of the features that make Bioware special, without it they're just another B.S. nobody game developer.

Cry all you want, do enough crying and make enough threads and Bioware might take it to heart and make it for the third game.

I don't even know what to say I'm so devastated. :crying:

I'm so sorry Akrim, but the Hendelmance is mine.

Oh, and there doesn't seem to be any more gay people in ME's universe.

You can come over for dinner though...

My Paragon Shepard might become a bit more Renegade if I came over. Don't open the door! He's got a gun. But really, none of us should be/are calling BioWare "homophobic"(freaking hate that word) and at least I'm not saying that this game NEEDS a same sex option... but with BioWare's trend you have to see why some people are so upset. It seems like a huge copout...

I think it probably was just a spacing and coding issue.

This would be easier to believe if they didn't have six confirmed heterosexual romances and a crewmember 'fling.' ME 2 has more romances than any other BioWare game to date and they couldn't have one bisexual crewmember? Seriously, the only difference between a FemShep romance with Liara and a DudeShep was a single line.

I'm into bestiality personally. I'm pretty angry they didn't include this aspect in the game. It's supposed to be MY Shepard! Also I'll bet the incestuous community is angry about there being no family members as love interests in this game. Bioware = insensitive to all other sexual preferences in the world. I'm angry.

Seriously, Bioware isn't obligated to appeal to every person with every kind of sexual preference. I can't imagine how much time and money that would take for such a menial aspect of the game. Just enjoy the game for the millions of other aspects that make it a great game,

Hey dumba** gues what? They did include bestiality. Oh and those are fetishes not orientations. Read a book will ya. The only difference between heterosexuality and homosexuality is the name.

Yes but all bioware keeps saying is that shep is your character nomatter what sex you are.
If shep is your character you should choose if he/she is gay or not. not Bioware or EA

Yes they are, because it's one of the things that make them stand out beyond just fans of videogames. Everytime they include a gay/bisexual character it gives them more visibility to the nation at large and takes that section of the culture one step closer to being treated equally.

I'd bet you'd, well maybe not you but people with souls, would be pissed of if they never included any black characters in any of their "create your own story games."

It means that if you can look at something with a tail or velociraptor teeth and accept it as a sentient being and not care or be resentful of it than little "minor" real world stuff like skin color and sexuality should not be a big deal to you.  I'm just saying that there is irony in your statement as homosexuals are often considered to many people as "inferior" to heterosexuals but now you are implying that homosexuality is superior to another potential type of sexuality.  I know this is fictionalized sexuality, but I still think it is ironic.

But it goes both ways. Homosexuals are still considered inferior enough that sentient alien beings are more acceptable even though they have very different physiology. The most popular argument against homosexuals has always been that they couldn't reproduce and thus cannot contribute to society. Yet, the same restrictions are present in a Quarian/Human relationship but people will defend that it's more about the connection between the two. Isn't that the same for same-sex relationships? Why is ME more comfortable with depicting humans being able to fully embrace an alien romance but then it shies away from the idea of a human romancing another human? If you can look past the velociraptor teeth, why can't you look past the sex of the person of YOUR species?

I don't think it has anything to do with discomfort.  Bioware has been ballsy enough to put same sex relationships in 3 of their games now, one that came out over a year after the FOX news scandal.  They aren't afraid of it.  I'm simply saying that they can't put every type of romance in every time and this time they chose to cater to a different minority.   There will be more same sex relationships in future games I have no doubt.  And as I'm not going to change anybody's mind on this topic and I've said my piece I think the best thing for me to do is to go to some other thread.  I am not "apathetic" to your plight as someone else said earlier.  In fact, I sympathize with it.  I have felt shortchanged in the past so I know how you feel.  Unfortunately, whenever one person gets their way it is almost always at someone else's expense.  Can't we sort of take turns or something?

The only thing that I will say is that BioWare's inclusion of homosexual relationships in the past have never really infringed on any of the straight relationships. The "bi" character was always romanceable by both types of players.

And with that I will say no more. Thanks for your sympathy.

Last I checked there is a little bit more to ****** and heterosexuality , other than the name.
One can procreate the other can't, IE a dead end ( pun intended).

Oh please. Getting spanked is a fetish. Falling in love with someone or something is a preference of sexuality. Whether you find that preference weird or immoral is your prerogative.

Stop right there, yes he/she is your character but within the confines of the game, think of it like this you can't stop the reaper invasion from happening, you can't say screw saren I'm going to Earth for a vacation. Bioware gets the ending rule at the end of the day. Just because its not here in this game doesn't say its not going to be in the next game. It just means they didn't put it in for the minority who would enjoy it. As understandably annoyed as you are I find the flared responses of pitch forks and rope a too tad abrasive for my taste. This game is really about saving the Galaxy and not about wanting to bang Jacob in the corner for that 5 second cutscene.

Guess what, fictional universe, whatever I say happens happens, doesn't matter if you agree with me or not. You have no evidence to the contrary. For example

Master Chief is a dark haired Asian woman who is in a loving relationship with Samus Aran. See? You can't disprove that, especially considering I actually have more video evidence "proving" it then you do  "disproving" it.

Actually Bioware got hold of the universe too ;) you just make decisions on pre-made events.

Bioware doesn't decide anything about the universe unless I approve, anything I don't like I can change in my head. That's what being sentient does for you. What I'm mad about is the actual experience playing the game.

I'm not trying to tell you that there shouldn't be any homosexual relations.

You may be right that I have no soul, but I encourage you to continue to be vocal and make threads imploring Bioware to reconsider or change their minds.  Keep crying, keep whining, keep bugging, it's the only way to make your displeasure known and duly noted.

If you feel it's wrong that there isn't any homosexual relations, keep fighting for them.

Pretty sure they mean personality wise... Not the obvious differences that it's two men or two women. Homosexuals are the same as heterosexuals. Sorry to say we're not all butch women or girly men. Those are obvious stereotypes.

I'd rather this topic not go too far offtopic into the realm of what's right or wrong however. I'm still not certain there won't be some sort of same sex relationship and until I play it myself or have a dev come in here and say there's no romance/fling/WHATEVER none of us are right.

How do you figure?

Only reason we humans have the term ****** and hetero, is for the simple fact we DO have TWO genders.
They don't have a reason to define their sexuality, there is no other option.

Besides they are A-sexual. Just happen to look like female's and a reason for a vagina would be to give birth unless they have a pouch on their tummy or they teleport out of the mommy. it's not like we actually see a vagina in the game, this is just our assumption cause they look like human female's.

Maybe a little hyperbolic yes, truthfully, I don't care about incest that can result in children either, bestiality is considered a fetish however, and is included in the game but whatevs. Sorry my last post was't clear, I'm becoming rather angry rather quickly it seems. To the original quote, they should be sensitive to the 2 most prominent orientations at least. They're sensitive to black people, who are a minority, so why not gays?
