I would a Cerberus phantom. Well who doesn't want to be on the team with leather clad space ninjas with swords?

Not to mention magnet blades that can kill Krogan and a barrier that can withstand a 1500N biotic throw.

I imagine those phantoms get pretty rotten deals. We learn that plenty of operatives get ocular implants that can explode if they're captured, but we also learn that phantoms undergo rather horrible surgical procedures to turn them into puppets if we don't save Jack from the Cerberus attack on Grissom Academy.

Worth it for those impractical sexy cartwheels.

N7 Shadow is the clearly superior option. No risk of horrible surgery, and less likely to be killed by Shepard.

And likely FAR more training and alliance indoctrination, Cerberus needs easily disposable CQB specialists and they need them now.

Yep.

I want tools, not soldiers. I wouldn't even call them easily disposable, since Cerberus troops seem to outclass just about any non-Shepard force they face.

And since my Shepard essentially supports them, we'd be all but invincible.

Besides, I don't want idiots who have been indoctrinated by the alliance propaganda machine and fettered by their useless morality and ethics. I want killing machines that do whatever I say for them to do.

I still wish Petrovsky would replace Hackett. I like Aria, she gets results and doesn't care about how she gets them. Problem is, she's too angry and not able to focus.

Replacing Hackett with Petrovsky would require replacing everyone else as well.

I just want the N7 training. Never liked the alliance or Cerberus high off reaper tech. I'd probably kill them both on the battle field just to test myself and show off my skills.

Sounds perfect to me. Wonder how the alliance goons will feel when their 'hero' Shepard let's them know how he really feels.

I dunno. Replacing hundreds if not thousands of people seems kinda tricky. You might have a better time just creating your own splinter group.

Nah, my Shepard could do it. That said, I'm looking to make the alliance into my splinter groups puppet.

We'd be a StateSec organization.

We really need more of those.

So Petrovsky is Ludendorff, Shepard is Göring, and Timmy is Hitler?

Sounds like an operation that would be just as successful as the real one back in 1923.

Shepard isn't fat enough to be Göring.

neither. N7 is far too nerdish & mainstream for my liking, and Cerberus is too idiotic.

I'd be Sluggard, Sovereign's half brother.

You must have really hated Mass Effect 3 then, Which is all about Shepard and the Alliance being BFF and Cerberus being the Big bad.

I did really hate that (as did a lot of people) because the writers decided that after two games of giving the player reasonable control over their Shepard, they decided to sharply scale back the ability of the player to customize their Shepard mentally, psychologically, and with what actions and dialogue were available. In short, auto-dialogue took precedence because the writers of ME3 (and at BW in general) want to write a movie, not a game. Complete with hamfisted and forced morality and trying to change the tone of the story from a 'shades of grey' style to 'black and white morality'. ME3, more than either ME1 or ME2, was a lot simpler with how it handled the tone, and I suspect this fell into 'new players start here' territory.

It doesn't matter whether your Shepard supports Cerberus or not, TIM makes clear on Mars that Shepard is little more than a tool that he no longer needs.  That's the problem with joining ruthless paramilitary organisations with scant regard for their staff; there's little to no HR structure, so you can't appeal contract termination.

And later dialogue in the game proves this wrong, when TIM makes it quite clear that he wants Shepard on his side, even going as far as saying that he hasn't given up on Shepard yet.

That's one of the things I would change a bit about Cerberus. We'd definitely have a better employee service policy. Affable Evil on the level of Hank Scorpio.

I wholeheartedly agree with you on this one, grantedm there's always a limited to the extend the player can influence the narrative but up until Mass Effect  3 the series gave a  quite reasonable impression to the player that their input was relevant.

Ironically enough, what Bioware did to Mass Effect 3 was exactly the oppostie of the desgin philosphy the use Mass Effect 1&2. The presentation here is part of series in which it is explained how bioware intended accomplish a cinematic narrative without often interupting player agency.

that was just TIM trying to save face & not appear still hung over Shepard. unfortunately for Cerberus lovers it had become painfully obvious that by the end of ME2, TIM was already showing signs of indoctrination. so yeah, I wouldn't wanna be anywhere near them.

having said that, the whole lovefest with the Alliance makes me want to puke. if I starred as Shepard in my own produced ME movie, my response to the Alliance after my resurrection would've been..........final.

the only time that I felt Shepard was TRULY back to his old ME2 self was going solo with Aria on Omega. not answering to anyone, just stomping in there and mussing up their fancy hair.
