Anders is a jerk, an idiot, and a hypocrite, I don't have time for his whining. Alistair is a goofball, who is only capable when its go time. Duncan....Duncan is just cool.

Kell Ap Morgan from the Calling novel was a badass warden.

My second favorite would be Carver , Carver is a bit of a moron sometimes but I think in the long run , this role will suit him.

I still think Alistair wasn't meant to be a warden , I think he's too much of a nice guy.

Duncan was a great warden but since he forced my wardens to get tainted and splattered with Ser Jory's blood, I hold an eternal grudge.

That's not even a choice, Duncan . I also like Avernus. I'm neutral about Alistair but I really don't like what they did with Anders. In Awakening he was Alistair's replacement. In DA2 he was a terrorist. I think he is just for convenience.

best grey warden would be Larius... Bastard survived down there for years, eating really bad stuff, and scavanging from darkspawn. Darkspawn would tear anyone else apart, but this beast was like on a retirement home....only when Hawke arrived did everything go to hell (as usual). Next would be Garahel, cause his name has hell in it,

Literally anyone but Anders in DA2.  Stroud, Duncan, and Riordan are especially cool (and some of the only "true"/non-corrupt/upstanding grey wardens we meet).

I feel like this is a trick question because it is asking me who my favorite character of the three is but my favorite warden may be different then my favorite character of the group.  And I just, for some reason, have a hard time imagining Allistair and Anders as Grey Wardens.  Allistair shirked his responsibility and then became King, and Anders deserted when he got the best opprotunity.  To me the epitome of Wardenness, at least among the 3...is Duncan...and he is probably my favorite Warden-Warden in all of Dragon Age too. 

 

Favorite character though of the 3 goes down to Anders.
