Riordan.

For NPC Wardens Riordan would be my pick as well, though I also like Duncan.

Riordan had excellent voice acting, and the character was an absolute bad@ss that sacrificed himself to end the blight. He died destroying the archdemon's wings, so that the player's Warden, Alistair, or Loghain, would be able to deliver the killing blow.

I'm not sure if the Warden's officially recognize anyone who plays a vital assisting role in defeating an archdemon, but they should in Riordan's case. His crippling of the archdemon was vital. He should get a crypt alongside Garahel and the other Blight-ending heroes at Weisshaupt.

Of those three, Duncan. He was so awesome he could actually dual-wield weapons larger than daggers, a feat unheard of since until the days of Dragon Age: Inquisition. If we're lucky.

Avernus is the Warden of my heart.

Out of those three I choose Duncan, he gets the job done. I like victory at any cost.

...Is it bad that when I scrolled down to Anders being a choice I laughed really hard?

I admit, when I saw Anders on this list, I had forgotten he was a Warden. And he's one of my favorites.

Oghren.

"I'll gargle and spit."

"You're not allowed to spit."

'Heh.. that's what I always say."

The Wardens need more like him.

Considering how the Joining usually goes down, he's probably the only warden in the history of the order to not pass out.

Out of the three:

Duncan: Old school GW. Very experienced. Commander of the Grey. One of the most formidable warriors in Fereldan. Respected by all..

Alistair: In most of the playthroughs, he doesn't stay with the Wardens very long. But still, he's the guy that shows the protagonist the ropes and guides him/her with regards to all things Grey Warden related despite being a rookie himself. In addition he's also a great warrior capable of fighting an Arishok single handedly (without armor too, I think... though I can't say if Sten is as skilled a fighter as his predecessor, who was killed by Hawke) and also has Templar training.

Anders: While he may be a pretty strong character and a powerful mage, IMO Anders hasn't done anything of much importance as a Grey Warden. While he may be a strong supporter of mages and was influential in the events leading to the civil war, the other two are known for being Grey Wardens unlike him. I felt the only point in DA2 where his Grey Warden skills helped was when Carver/Bethany got the taint in the Deep Roads expedition. Also he is a deserter which gives him negative points.

So, I must say...Alistair is da best.

Of all the Wardens, then:

Accomplishments Wise: The PC (Tabris IMO, since I am a sucker for underdogs)

Badassery wise: Nathaniel Howe

Experience wise: Duncan/Riordan

Likeability wise: Sighrun, Bethany

Well, out of the 3 Grey Wardens depicted, Duncan is the one that initiates us into the order, so I'd have to go with him. But I've a soft spot for all of them, really. Sigrun, Anders, Riordan, Nathaniel, Velanna, Alistair. Only one I've never warmed up to is Oghren I guess. ^^;;

Wardens will probably recognize his sacrifice. According to WoT, even humble recruits who die in the Joining have their names collected in the archives in Weisshaupt.
