After beating ME3 on insanity sunday & gaining all the achievements (DLC included) I felt like soldier was well too easy an not as fun as I'd hope. Pop n Shoot isn't doing it as much as I'd like. Right now I am messing around with other classes in Single & Multi player to get a feeling to me. I know I brought something like this up again but what is your fav class and why? I'm still searching for mine. Let me know what you think.

Incinerate and sabotage. Its fun or you could cry and then incinerate and watch them explode =)

Adept has been my favourite since the first game, because biotics in general were always so cool to me and I absolutely love the playstyle that accompanies it. I usually lean towards casters in most of my games and I simply couldn't turn down the ability to toss things my mind and clean rooms up with big booms.

I'm exactly like this, yet I cannot bring myself to complete a game of Dragon Age: Origins as a mage. I had the most fun playing a warrior/templar.
To this day I'm trying to find out why. Cause the magic in DA:O ain't even bad or something.

Vanguard to the end for me. In ME1, I can ragdoll a room full of people, and then shoot them with my assault rifle or shotgun, and then you're practically a superhero with that biotic charge in ME2 and 3.

Engineer.
Because you get to bring your own miniature army and burn, freeze, or electrocute things.

Infiltrator. Because they never see me coming.
Also because it's ridiculously fun to cloak and dash across the map to a new flanking position.

Hmmm. Good question. I would find this easier to answer if it was for ME1 or ME2.
The problem I have with ME3 is that the combo system homogenizes the gameplay + too many talent points for each class cuts down on the number of functionally different builds. Something I enjoyed in ME2 was that you could change your bonus power and/or and your bonus weapon and your entire playstyle could change. ME3 lacks that I find.
So for ME3 single player, I cannot decide if I like the Engineer, Infiltrator, or Vanguard the best. All these classes can have somewhat pretty diverse builds provided you restrict yourself in what powers and/or weapons you use. Adept and Sentinel are too similar and Sentinel is generally better anyway. Soldier is okay but you have to really go out of your way to find a unique playstyle.
For ME3 multiplayer, I play the Engineer classes a lot since the tech powers are more diverse.

So far, Sentinel and Vanguard.
However, I'm doing my first Infiltrator play-through. So far, it's actually quite fun. I recently started ME2, and I definitely like the Cloaking ability.

soldier is my favorite
engineer I had the most fun
adept I like the biotic explosions
vanguard wasn't bad, though doing charge, nova got old really quick
infiltrator is ok.
If you found soldier easy, why not try a playthrough like this. I used a level one pistol without using any powers, the same for the squadmates and had the difficulty set at hardcore.
sentinel I only played once

Vanguard for all the trilogy.
Lift and throw for ME1 destroys everything.
Charge in ME2 for ultra-glitch mode.
Charge/Nova can detonate biotic explosions. So use your teammates and you're in for Goku Shepard. Biotic kamehameha bioware ![]()

You don't have to play vanguard by spamming charge/nova. The game becomes way too easy with vanguard sometimes because it's such a beast.
Pretty much. I didn't really like Nova. I preferred to use a Shotgun with explosive Incendiary Ammo after I charged an enemy. Besides, I wanted to use those points to upgrade Lash because it's a more useful(and amusing) power.

I vanguarded ME 2 and 3. It was fun at first, but by the time I hit Priority Earth in 3 I was so ready to be a different class. I didn't even max Nova and barely used it. I still find sniper kills to be the most satisfying, but am leaning towards a Sentinel or Engineer for at least one episode of the next play through. I've never been the same class all the way through.

I don't think the MP classes will really give you the flavor of the SP classes. There are many more powers available in MP than in SP, but at the same time you are limited to just three powers and two passives for any particular character. The mixture of powers in MP makes almost each different character play differently than another and from an SP class. (This is a plus for MP.) Take the Fury Adept, one of my favorite characters in MP. There is no Annihilation Field in SP, so her style of fighting is not really applicable to the SP Adept. (Plus, Shepard can not teleport through walls.
) The Vanilla Human Vanguard is very much like the SP Vanguard with Charge/Nova, but the Krogan Vanguard is all about Charge/Melee. The Turian Havoc is classed as a Soldier yet plays like Vanguard with Havoc Strike and Stim Packs. Meanwhile, the N7 Paladin is classed as a Sentinel, but is really an Engineer without the Drone and with Snap Freeze instead of Cryo Blast.
The classes also differ across titles. The Sentinel (my favorite in ME3) makes a good caster class in ME3, but in ME2, at least when playing on insanity, all I ever did was constantly reset the tech armor. I almost never got to cast any of the other powers because of how fast the shields would go down. Most people recommended playing the ME2 Sentinel as a CQC class, which makes sense, but is not what I wanted. The Vanguard is much more survivable and powerful in ME3 than ME2. In ME2 the cool down time on Charge was, at best, 5.5 seconds which means Charging isolated enemies and then taking cover until the next Charge is available. Staying out of cover for 5.5 seconds would mean certain death in ME2. In ME3 you can get the cool down down to around 3 seconds, plus you get 4 seconds of 50% damage reduction after a Charge. So instead of Charging an isolated enemy near to where you can then take cover, in ME3 you can Charge right into the middle of group of bad guys and go to town with either Nova or whatever guns suit your fancy. By the time your shields go down you'll be ready to Charge again. The ME3 Vanguard fits the class description a lot better than the ME2 Vanguard did.

That's understandable, I feel the same way about dragon age. I thought I'd really enjoy mage, but I ended up not being a big fan of them in that series (minus Shapeshifter in origins thanks to mods). On the other hand, I can't get enough of Templars and assassin duelist rogues, the playstyles I least expected to like very much.

I haven't put in the time to unlock all of the characters, but so far, this one is my favorite. Too bad I get kicked out groups the most with this one before the mission even starts. Never know with these finicky goofwads.

In my last ME3 playthrough, my engineershep was incredibly fun to play. Sabotaging Cerberus turrets never got old, and neither did using my own turrets and drones.
Most of the time I play an adeptshep, but also had a lot of fun with a shotgun infiltrator.
Never played a sentinel... well not for a full game.

Glad to hear your Engineer playthrought went well!
First-time insanity run, and it was a blast as an engineer. Built for fast cooldowns and as wide a range of attacks as I could muster. Took Garrus and James on almost every mission, and only real trouble was on Rannoch and those three geth primes... well, and banshees.

It sounds like you should try out a more power-heavy class, OP.
My MainShep is a Sentinel with shotguns and explosive tech armor, so I think I'll always be partial to that combo. Vanguard is a close second. It's always been my instinct to play fast-paced close-combat in videogames, and I really like biotics and fire attacks.
