Hello Dear Machinima Maker!
I'm currently starting to create my first Movie based into a parrallel univers of Dragon Age Origin (using the same characters of the original game but in a different timeline/story).
After making my first scene, and exported it into the game for recording it, I faced a big problem.
The first scene of my movie takes place into a deep Wood, where one of the Main character (I used the Alister model) is hunting a goat.
On the editor everything is fine, I have my scene, my animation.
But when I play the sequence throught the game, my main character doesn't shown, I have my Area, my goat, the cutscene is starting well, cameras are fine, BUT, the "human" character is not here.. , I tried to duplicate others "humans models" into my movie module, and put them into the scene to see if the problem was comming from the character, and it's not, all the human character that I place into my scenery don't show up during the scene, when the scene is played into the original game.
Could someone could give me some help? It would be really nice, and of course I will put credit on my movie for thoose who will help me, wich is "normal"!
Thank!
(Oh! And I hope that my English wasn't too bad!)
Presentation, and a question relativ to a cutscene problem.

I don't know if this will help, do you have the actor mapped in? It still should have used the default actor if Alistair wasn't available.

How are you viewing the scene in game? In-game trigger? Runcutscene shortcut command?
Depending on how your module is set up and how you view it in the game there are 2 options.
If you are running the scene using a walk-in trigger while playing the game, you can set Alistair to "Mapping required - False" and "Export Resref to True" in the pictured example posted above.
This will export the "Stunt" actor (in this case the Alistair you are using in the editor) and not rely on whether or not the Actor is present in the Area. Save and export the modified cutscene and view it in game. This will not work if you are using the -runcutscene command to view your scene in game.
A better way that works with all in-game cutscene view methods is to:
1. Open the area editor
2. Open the area you are using and place the actor into an inconspicuous spot in that area
3. Save the Area then export it without dependents. (right click on the name to get the menu).
4. Go to your pallette, filter "Creatures"; then find and export your actor as well. (Mostly for custom creatures or module specific creatures)
5. In the cutscene editor, select the Actor and in the object inspector add the mapping tag name in the Mapping section (gen00fl_alistair). This will tell the engine to find the mapped creature in the area and use it.
(Mapping required doesn't necessarily have to be True, but if set to True and your actor is not present in the area, the cutscene will not play) ,
6. Export your cutscene then play it in game.
