I thought the cover of the first one looked interesting, and I bought the first on midway through '09. Then I rented the second one on release, purchasing it august of 2010 and '11. Then I bought the third one on release.

All 3?
1)I noticed ME1 was owned by my cousin. (Driver)
2)I asked my cousin to let me borrow it. (Coach)
3)I got caught up in the hype for ME2. (Bandwagon)
After ME1 I liked the series.
After playing ME2 I was a more definite fan.

ME1 was recommended to me by a friend after telling them I was getting bored of FPS games (it was solely all I played at the time) and was looking to try something new, perhaps an RPG. Bought it on Steam and instantly fell in love with it. My first play session lasted roughly 11 hours. I had never before been so completely immersed in a game world, never cared so much about the characters, the locations, or the story so much as I did with ME1. It will always remain one of my all-time favorite games.

The original TV trailers with some world begging Shep for help and him denying it. Saw Bioware logo at end; with the Baldur's Gate, Jade Empire and KOTOR pedigree I figured I'd like it. I was right.

I have a confession. The indoctrination theory peeked my interests and was so fascinating to me that I decided to hop on board the steam express summer sale. Bought ME 1 & 2 an loved them both. Got ME 3 after an thought it was alright. Was disappointed in having a short squad but was made up for by the cameos made especially the one by david at Grissom Academy.

I have a friend who showed me the scene of the fleets arriving at Earth. All I knew was that the scene was happening at the end of the trilogy. Kinda wanted to know why.
So I bought a new copy for the trilogy box set on the cheap because my local Gamestop was going out of business.
So coach, I guess.

I saw the trailer for ME1 and it seemed like a really cool concept for a space RPG. When I found that it was a Bioware title my interest increased, since I was a fan of Neverwinter Nights. Nevertheless for some reason I waited until just before ME3's release before buying both ME1 and ME2.
