IK it provides very high fire power with relative light weight, but the problem is that the recoil from a charged shot is enough to knock the reticle off the lock-on to the enemy, and you have to aim again before you could use your powers. 

I know you will need to aim again after shooting anyway no matter who your using, but as power characters I always want to spam a power as soon as its cd is over, so the recoil from arc pistol can get frustrating (even though its dmg is not at all) especially after doing this for a while.

 

 

 

OK I dont mean mediocre, I just cant find the right word (if there is one) for this . I mean the arc pistol is very good and I use it on everyone too (cuz arc pistol is one of the few rares I have at X...), but theres some shortcoming with it that I dont like. that better?

No. I finally used it on AA the other day and it was very good.  You can hold the charge while casting and shoot whatever.  The "classic" use of Arc Pistol was on Turian Sentinel and he also casts powers.

 

The only downside was that I was running a passive-less AA and I didn't quite have enough damage to one-shot a gold Hunter, at least not with just Drill 3.

you should always charge. And it's not mediocre, it's a monster, beast, deadly, fabulous, fantastic, wonderful etc etc

 

Definitely the best caster weapon in the game, along with venom IMO.

I agree stasis'd enemies beg for ppl to shoot them in the head. But headshoting also means no follow up BE. =[

But actually what I am really talking about was when you are working on a Prime or whatever boss with Warp -> Arc Pistol -> Throw -> Arc Pistol ... etc.  It has a good rhythm.

I think the Arc pistol is a very good caster weapon, at least on Drelldept it wrecks everything.

Arc pistol "mediocre"  ... Don't see those words in the same sentence very often. And I'd imagine that whatever damage you're losing in that split second longer it takes you to re-aim after a charged shot with the Arc pistol is more than mitigated by the massive amounts of damage that that silly little gun can do.

It's good.. not as good as BSN makes it out to be but it has a lot going for it surely. There are a lot of other weapons I'd rather take.. like the CSMG.

Only scrubs who can't aim need accuracy boosts on the Talon. Now you mention it, the Wraith > Arc pistol too.

I like the arc pistol on caster classes, but a: I'm bad at this game and b: it's my only rare/UR that's up to X so far.
