Only scrubs who can't aim need accuracy boosts on the Talon.
So you can hit more enemies per one shot? It's a shotgun after all. Using Talon on accuracy boosting class is like using scope attachment on sniper rifle.

Who needs sound effects anyway? I can headshot things far away with pinpoint accuracy and still have my CDs at a level where I can create combos at will. Something the claymore can't even dream about doing. Yes, I don't like the claymore outside of 1-2 classes.

IK it provides very high fire power with relative light weight, but the problem is that the recoil from a charged shot is enough to knock the reticle off the lock-on to the enemy, and you have to aim again before you could use your powers.
Also am I the only one that always charge before shooting an arc pistol?
The Arc Pistol gives you three choices.
#1: Headshot = dead. No need to fire a power at them anyways.
#2: Use the pistol to prime FE/TB, in which case, if you aim for a low bodyshot, the recoil doesn't pull you out of lock-on, leaving you free to fire a power immediately.
#3: Fire the power before you release the trigger.
And yes, you should always be charging before shooting. The only time I don't is for swarmers.

I'm the same. My Krogans get the Claymore, occasionally some other soldiers. That's it. I love it on them, but I have no desire to use it on anything else. I just wish I could keep pistol amps in stock...

I stand by what I said. Claymore is an extremely good gun - I am not denying that. But saying that it is the best 'caster' gun is something I can never ever agree with.
And on topic of TSol, my TSol uses Saber. And it is one of the two guns IMO that sound better than claymore. Marsman saber sound is

The idea to begin with was to push the point that you don't need to cast powers if you have a Claymore. Back when that all started it was pretty true...100% shield gate and pre-tech explosion era.
TNS missed the initial whines about claymore adepts of the first era.
Actualy, we didn't have AF and bubbles, grenades were not buffed and were quite scant, so weight was a big issue for more kits. And, as you have mentioned, no techsplosions.

Those were pretty fun times. That huge divide between the console players and PCers because of reload cancel... I had a Wraith VIII after just a couple months (5 upgrades in one weekend 
) and had mastered reload hiding with Reave, so I just laughed away despite everyone saying their Wraith III's were underpowered.
What I think is interesting is the Claymore took the role of both the modern Arc Pistol and the Reegar for some time. It was a weapon that dealt lots of damage on any kit like the Arc Pistol, but it also changed the way most kits were played like the Reegar now. It actually ushered in the "casters don't need 200% cooldown" notion. Things were interesting when a single maxed UR was uncommon.

And as for the pre-balance change debate, I wasn't there and I didn't even play the game back then. Claymore may very well have been the best caster gun back then. But the way the game is right now (with modified FEs and a much larger pool of guns and ammo), it is no where near the being the best caster gun IMO.

It's good.. not as good as BSN makes it out to be but it has a lot going for it surely. There are a lot of other weapons I'd rather take.. like the CSMG.
