Ugh this is just reminding me how ****** stupid it is that if Hawke tells her to get bent he somehow magically ends up fighting Prosper for her anyway >:|
You mean, "because I got your nose" wasn't convincing enough to help her ![]()

She's inconsistent with her on work lol
Tell me about it. She hires a mass killer and expects their not to be death sheer brilliance.

If only my Mage Hawke could've said you got my fireball to the face ![]()
I only have one thing to say about this:
I liked my meme better ![]()

LMAO! That was the one moment in MotA where I wish I could have used murder knife on her.

Like your basically are an assassin, always expect bloodshed

I get the impression she's not the sharpest knife in the rack. (which is why it rankles so badly that Hawke gets played by her).

I love how my aggressive Hawke can flat out threaten to kill her, that I got your nose nonsense hits and it's dropped like my Hawke's been put in his place for daring to be mean to Tallis.
Bleh.

Or is pretending to be naive and playing us like a sodding fiddle. It sits poorly regardless.

Between "I got your nose" near the end and "The Duke has fallen from grace," (gods I hate that meme and I'm looking forward to it dying already,) I was left thinking why did a good DLC, with a fun boss fight, end on such a very stupid note?

I bet she did play us like A Damn Fiddle ![]()

XD yeah either way it's pretty sucky.
I actually didn't mind the Duke has fallen from grace line
but I got your nose needed to die in a fire. Hey let's not forget "Give me that list" "nope" *pout* I bet my poor aggressive Hawke was inwardly screaming.

OMG, bringing all of those lines up in MotA makes DA2 seem like it had proper development time
You know, while I typically don't rip on games, DA2 really grated me badly, but I thought Legacy was a well done DLC. Makes me wonder WTF the thinking was with some of that dialogue in MotA.

Poor aggressive Hawke. He can never get a break.

Yeah it really felt hastily put together. And not being able to bring up "Yo...they'd SOW MY MOUTH SHUT." was awkward as hell.

Bleh.
Very frustrating that I couldn't just say "Do that one more time and I play got your kidneys".
I'd like to see Tallis again. 'Twould be cool. I'm actually surprised Bioware didn't bring her back as a full-blown companion.
As for the DLC problem. Due to the way the story is told in DA2, Bioware could easily just go the route of "it happened, Cassandra just didn't ask Varric about it"
That's an interesting point about Varric actually. We forget that what we are playing throughout Dragon Age 2 and it's DLC's are basically Varric's version of events. So if Bioware were to use an excuse it could be "Nothing was actually quite so flamboyant as what we saw in the DLC. The events happened, just not quite how we saw them. It's more a case of Varric being hyperbolic than anything else."
I doubt it though, I still think the main problem is the character of Tallis itself. It still feels too much like a self insert in a poorly written fanfic than something actual writers would come up with.
Like your basically are an assassin, always expect bloodshed
It's like Hawke tells Macha:
Helping people and killing people are what I'm best at.

One thing that just came to me is how MotA kind of tries to cater a bit to people who want some sort of unity. DA2 was a story of very polarized factions, with no unity in sight. In comes Tallis, with her idealistic notions about the Qun. And the "Ben Hassarath" - heart of the many. The group that represents "unity" in some way. We're all supposed to jump for joy.
Except...
People don't really want unity as the Qun see it. There's still something bothersome about it. Yet it's the only answer Bioware has given regarding the subject.
I think it still might have a place in DAI though, with Tallis or not. Unity is a hot topic in Thedas.
Either that, or people will be forced into unity. Like Sandal's prophecy about how all will have magic again. Sounds kind of like Mass Effect's Synthesis ending.

I suffered half of dao with Sten questioning my female warden's feminity. Then comes Talis....
To be fair, Sten also asks Leliana and Morrigan if they're priestesses before questioning their femininity. It's less about 'only men can fight' and more about 'only the priesthood and the army can fight'.

If Sten lived in our world, he wouldn't enjoy a good episode of Buffy or Xena.
I find that kind of depressing. ![]()
Wow the Tallis hate is strong in this thread. Didn't knew she was that disliked.

What are your views on her?
I'm neutral about her, didn't dislike her and didn't see my Hawke acting like an idiot as many people say here.
Thanks to Tallis, i learned more about the Qun and in general and i found her views interesting.... only the ending left me with a 'that's it?'.
Honestly... i really don't get the hate she gets. Because she 'stole' a companion slot? Because of 'favoritism'? Because of Felicia Day?
(didn't bother to read enough posts here though)
?? You missed his sermon that women are priest, shopkeepers and artisans and not warriors? To be fair, Sten also asks Leliana and Morrigan if they're priestesses before questioning their femininity. It's less about 'only men can fight' and more about 'only the priesthood and the army can fight'.
