The only good quality Tallis has is that she is a daredevil. I think she is inconsistent and flawed to the point where she makes no sense. I don't even understand why the Qunari would tolerate her. I think the writers were forced to write her like that.

Forced by whom?
You seriously think Felicia Day held the writers at gunpoint and forced them to write Tallis like that? LOL

They look pretty similar to me. (Tash I used your Dalish screencap!!! I hope you don't mind!!
)
You don't even have to ask. Plus, in general, I'm really good about making a lot of hard saves of my DA2 games, and I've been taking a lot of screenies this time around. If you want more screenshots from various points from DA2, let me know and I can get them out.

I don't know, but I could see EA holding the writers at gunpoint to write and design Tallis that way.
Kidding, I promise. Well, mostly...

I don't think that Felicia Day had any bigger role in the development of the DLC than being the voice actor. What I mean is that I don't understand how the writers would willingly write her as half Ms Perfect, half I make no sense as a Qunari. Every character in Dragon Age is heavily flawed and tragic in various degrees. Even Morrigan who I think is supposed to be the flagship character of the show.
Tallis is a qunari that made mistakes and got demoted, then got promoted again and made more mistakes and is still tolerated. And she has a heart of gold. And she is awesome and charming and attractive and ruthless and decisive and femme fatale and caring. And she can open a 500 kg iron prison door from the inside by touching it. There is a certain decline in quality.

LoL that wasn't beyond human capabilities just compare size of wraith to jump hawke did if all we can argue wether he should be able do that in that armor not jump itself.
Humans generally cannot jump their own full height in a frontal jump... So why the height Hawke is attainable, it certainly isn't attainable in the manner he actually jumped. Human legs don't bend the right way for that.

Eh, wasn't a fan of the character mostly because the dlc she was in railroaded us. I'd be totally up for Felicia Day voicing a new character though.

If her cameo in supernatural is any indication, that is basically every single Felicia Day character in a nutshell.

I have nothing against Felicia Day at all but Tallis...smh
It got so silly in some parts where when my Hawke asked her why she should help and Tallis says "Because I got your nose!" I was wishing for a slight moment that there was an option for my Hawke to slash her nose and take off with it cackling!
But of course just like the rest of my Hawkes they do good so went and helped Tallis...I doubt we will see her in DA:I though. I don't completely hate her but she is my least favorite NPC.

Clearly you haven't seen her in The Guild or Dr. Horrible. It's not Felicia's fault the writers keep typecasting her.

1. Kai Lang "won" because he pre-planned a back up plan. I really don't see "shooting rocket to break the foundation of the area you're fighting in on the gunship he flew in on" as plot armor.

She wrote her own character in DA:2. But otherwise, no, I don't watch webseries or whatever. But when she guess starred in any media that I like, it's been as the same type of person.

Actually the arc with leviathans and then the medieval larping were ok. She had a defined skillset. But they had to make her able to kick ass with heavy weaponry too, hadn't they? ;p

She didn't write Tallis in MoTA, Bioware's writers did that.

Well he jumped over his height we can argue on way he jumped but thats minor detail but jump on such height is possible well of course not for most humans but for very well trained person that hawke of course is.

These discussions never end up going anywhere except around in circles.
People will complain if: main character is super powerful, athletic, skilled in all areas, and charismatic (regardless of job class) as being boring and overpowered and an unbelievable protagonist.
They will also complain if: Secondary/DLC character who has the same talents as the above but has an assigned job class that calls for these types of skills as being a mary-sue/god-sue/super-sue/goku-sue/sue von susanburg.
I mean seriously people will look for problems where there are none or make complaints that make no sense, like people complaining that she's the star of the DLC...um well that's because she kind of is...I don't know what you were expecting maybe a brief introduction in High-Town along with a 5 minute info dump never to be seen again? I think the same ones bickering about not being able to one up Tallis would be even more frustrated to have seemingly taken a tip from a rogue elf, traveled to the Chateau, killed the Wyvern and the Duke AND retrieved the item only to have her swoop in at the last minute from out of nowhere -- at least in the actual game you can somewhat see it coming and shouldn't be too surprised when she "oops I lied" to you.

Right there should say it all. They probably basically assumed the fans would be like: "look it's felicia day as an elf! let's buy this", I mean???? 1+1=2????? si o no?
They changed the physical appearance of an entire race lmao are you serious what further proof do you need?!
Surprisingly, that works. Advertising is about grabbing attention. It did do that. You can't argue ageist that.

Really. So somehow that gunship is irreverent at all? Sorry, but I only consider it plot armor if a character is 100% open to die and some how with no reasoning for them to survive.
That would mean Leliana is the example of a character with plot armor

You can also use any of Tite Kubo's characters as examples (that is if you're familiar with Bleach) as almost every Shinigami/main character is plot-protected even when they are technically dead they keep coming back.

That is what I was talkinga bout. It is physically possible for humans to jump their own height, just not the way Hawke jumped. But this isn't really a problem at all, since it is a game which is meant to be cool, and for as long as it looked cool it is fine.

The fact that it all happens by ctuscene, and that the floor collapses instead of like - in ME2 - just turning into a boss battle where you kill the gunship on foot is plot armour. It's not a result of gameplay that you loose - all the outcomes are controlled by the writers in situations where we've succeeded in the past with no obvious explanation as to why we can't succeed now.
