Which do you favor? After playing ME3 MP for some time I find myself leaning towards tech. I really wanted to go for biotic but I always got tech characters. Idk guys, in story I like the tech characters more than biotic charcters, I favor tech powers more than biotic, an I love the geth especially legion n my love interests was Miranda who has tech abilities. An during the latter in MP I found biotics not really effective unless its againsts the reapers or collectors. An continuously popping singularity gets old fast. Let me know what you favor an why? Based on this I think I favor tech more than biotic. Might make an engineer, infiltrator, or sentinel for a second trilogy run. Ever since I got my N7 Shadow Im beginning to love cloak n shadow strike.

Far more people chose tech characters than biotic characters in my experience in pugs.

Sentinel! You can have BOTH.
...Or with bonus powers, I guess.
I tend to like biotic powers more, but my favorite multiplayer class was engineer.... Maybe when I say I like biotic powers more, I just mean "I like to charge things and then punch them a lot."

Tech has the advantage in MP cause of the insane versatility. Biotics really doesnt have that there because of limited powers.

Have you tried the N7 Fury? Or Asari Valkyrie? I love those characters, particularly the Fury. I don't find the Fury to be gimped against any class. Annihilation Field+Throw will destroy everything in short order. The girl is a one women explosion factory. Plus the Throw can combo with all your tech team mates. The Asari Justicar is also a favorite of mine.

I've played the Fury. She prove my point to a T. Its only good at one thing. Booming ALL THE THINGS. It doesnt matter what the combo is, since its all the Fury is good at is combo booming stuff to death.

And this is a problem?

And this is a problem?
When you bring up the example of the Biotic one trick pony when the bulk of Tech classes are more versatile, yeah. Then again, I know complaining wont change anything. Bioware wont give us anything new for ME3 now.

And so you don't go for combos when playing a tech character????

Tech powers are more useful at specific methods of wearing down enemy defenses. My most powerful MP character is a human Engineer. Biotics are more fun, but when playing at the high levels tech is the most effective.

Last time I played one, no. I played more as straight up CC support. This was months ago though and I've never been too hooked on the MP.

I hate tech characters, so biotics for me. Plus, I like more their lore.

I'm bigger on tech. I just love fire explosions and icy bursts and their graphical representation more than biotic explosions. Doesn't help that my favourite SP class is engineer.
I love biotics and adept is a very fun and effective class to play. And I love playing Fury and asari adept in MP. But if I have to choose between those two, tech all the way.

I'm a straightforward Soldier class fan.
However, outside of that, I prefer the Adept and Sentinel classes.
Sentinel is the best of both worlds, and the Adept is more interesting and powerful than the Engineer is in my opinion.
I'm not really big on the Vanguard or Infiltrator classes. Engineers powers just seem too limited as well.
So, judging from what I've said, I like biotic abilities with a capability on tech support as well.

If you've Incendiary ammo you can do fire explosions all the same...
Of course, I'm a pure Vanguard, so my opinion is somewhat biased ![]()

Before my last playthrough I would have picked biotics hands down, but now engineer has totally redeemed the tech side of the classes... And while it's too late for ME1 this time through, when shep gets resurrected in ME2 I am going to try and get through a full game as a sentinel.

A word of caution: the ME2 Sentinel is rather different than the ME3 Sentinel. In ME2 when your shields go down you have to reset your tech armor, in ME3 your tech armor only explodes when you want it too. This has several implications for the Sentinel in ME2.
In ME1 the Sentinel was clearly meant to be a caster class. It seems apparent from the power suite that the ME2 Sentinel was envisioned the same way. The problem is that resetting your tech armor causes a huge cool down (12 second base, 6 seconds after upgrades and passives). This can get in the way of casting anything but tech armor. This will depend on your play style and your difficulty level. At insanity you shields will constantly go down meaning you will constantly be resetting the tech armor. At a lower difficulty level, like veteran, if you stay in cover you won't have to reset your armor as much and so you can concentrate on casting.
What this has led to is a general consensus that, at least on insanity, the Sentinel should be played as a CQC class. If you have leveled up your armor to rank 3 (or 4) resetting your armor resets the cool down on your squad mates' powers. Plus, when the armor explodes it staggers and damages nearby enemies. So the idea is to use your squad mates' powers as you close with the enemies and when your armor explodes, reset it and have your squad mates use their powers again while you work over the staggered enemies with a CQC weapon (or melee).
I was able to play the ME2 Sentinel as a caster type on veteran, but when I played on insanity I was basically forced into going for CQC if I wanted to actually use the class's power set up efficiently.

Thanks for the tips and info. That's good stuff to keep in mind when picking squadmates.

As they currently exist, I like Biotics more.
I think Tech will need a change in an evolved combat system for me to enjoy it as much.
