At least use the FemShep version OP... BroShep looks like he's undergoing a (particularly) uncomfortable prostate examination :|
Congrats on grinding through the promotions, that was my most hated bit about the whole thing... even more than solo mastery (and I hated that one quite a lot)... but 2 naff challenges for the sake of a new shiny banner? Yeah, I was prepared to go through that... yet I've no idea why - pixelcrack man, pixelcrack O_o

It says how many times you completed a single challenge. Even on n7hq, but not the mobile version. So go and complete them all like I'm doing;-)
Damn it, I wish no one had told me about that. I guess I'm not done with challenges yet.

If I actually intended to use the banner, I would definitely use the alternate one. And yeah, the promotions was by far the worst part.

Promotions was a ******, but I'm almost more annoyed by the challenges for weapons I never use (M13 Raptor Use?
) . Such a PITA.

I was the same way for a very long time before finally giving in. It went a little quicker than I thought it would. Promote everybody -> Buy Packs -> Save money until the highest class gets to 20 -> Promote -> Buy Packs. Think that's right.
Where am I?

Play and if you have 4 millions and all classes on lvl 20, promote all, buy packs until ~0 credits and most classes get lvl 8 -14

How can it annoy you? I doughnut gettit.
The Raptor isn't even a bad piece of kit, and the challenge goes pretty quick. It's basically a Mattock with a scope.

How is it that weapons challenges for weapons I don't like to use annoys me?
Seems pretty obvious, really. And I'm not saying the Raptor (or any other gun or kit, for that matter) is necessarily "bad", I'm just saying I don't like it. I suck with SR's, and the only one I use voluntarily on any consistent basis is the Javelin. So SR Mastery is a gigantic PITA for me.
At least with promos you can still use your preferred kits/weapons/maps/whatever (and saving up credits to just buy Recruits made it go by reeeeally fast), but the character and weapons challenges force you to use stuff you may not like. Now, maybe there are some folks out there who like every weapon and character on this game, but I am not one of them. I like the majority of them, but there's stuff I simply don't like very much (KroLord, volus, Collector weapons, most sniper rifles, etc) that I'll have to complete challenges for if I want to finish the Mass Effect challenge.

I can understand that you don't want to do challenges that involve stuff you don't like.
I can't understand why it should ANNOY you that they exist.
If I don't like bolognese(*), should I be annoyed that it's on the menu when I go to an Italian restaurant?
(*) NB: purely hypothetical question.

It annoys me that I need to do them in order to complete the Mass Effect challenge, because playing with weapons and characters I'm not overly fond of annoys me.

The official video to that song is one of the greatest of all time.
The bass boosted version of that song is the N7 Fury's walk-up music. Fury don't care. Bass at all times.

Reality check: you don't need to complete the Mass Effect challenge.

Sure, you're right. But in another sense, I do need to. Its the principle of the thing.

Sure, but have you done every challenge?
Nope, not yet. Working on it, but not hurrying desperately. I would like to keep on enjoying the game.

I'd offer some advice here. First, being annoyed about things you can't control is simply a waste of blood pressure. Second, there's some flexibility in most of the challenges that means that you generally can avoid a weapon or two.
Lastly, what I have found (I'm speaking personally here) is that using a weapon I don't like, or don't get on well with (or both) for 140k or 200k points is actually a way to learn to appreciate what's possible with different weapons and sometimes to learn that they have good points that one didn't really appreciate. The same goes for 200 waves with odd characters.
Try something different. Live a little on the edge. Risk failing a game or two, or coming bottom on the scoreboard. It's not like your N7 is going to go down or anything. And don't let things annoy you.

I've played this game for over 1800 hours. I don't need your advice, pleb.
Of course, the advice was addressed to q5tyhj, in the hopes of helping him to spend less of his time annoyed.
And 1800 hours? Hell's bells, the only people who have that kind of time on their hands are philosophy students.

I think you're over-thinking this. I'm not losing sleep over it, and I'm certainly not worried about scrubbing missions or not topping the scoreboard. Someone remarked that they found the N7 Mastery to be tedious/annoying/whatever, and I'm saying that for my part, I find the weapons/character challenges for kits/weapons I don't use to be worse than N7 Mastery. I know how to complete them, and in some cases you're right- I've actually become fond of a kit or weapon I wasn't crazy about before, simply from doing the challenge- but in most cases, I'm just using a weapon or kit I wouldn't otherwise be using if not for the challenge. And if I liked ALL of the weapons and kits, I would've been done with all the challenges some time ago. Just a mild annoyance, really- don't worry, I'll live.
