I think you're over-thinking this. I'm not losing sleep over it, and I'm certainly not worried about scrubbing missions or not topping the scoreboard. Someone remarked that they found the N7 Mastery to be tedious/annoying/whatever, and I'm saying that for my part, I find the weapons/character challenges for kits/weapons I don't use to be worse than N7 Mastery. I know how to complete them, and in some cases you're right- I've actually become fond of a kit or weapon I wasn't crazy about before, simply from doing the challenge- but in most cases, I'm just using a weapon or kit I wouldn't otherwise be using if not for the challenge. And if I liked ALL of the weapons and kits, I would've been done with all the challenges some time ago. Just a mild annoyance, really- don't worry, I'll live.

Oh you lucky dawg you. A bazillion congrats. If I could just get two Gold Solos, just TWO, but my jugg/spitfire/cerb/giant combo only gets me through 5 waves.

Try Jug, Incendiary Adas, Geth, White. 10 waves survived on my first Gold solo attempt. Kite the Primes, backpedal the Pyros, fire explosion all the things, and hope you don't get devices.

Meh, if you honestly want an easy and relaxing Gold solo, you can't really beat the Kroguard vs. Geth IMO. Use a cyclonic and keep your Rage up, and you should never die. So EZ mode.

So true.  I did my first Gold solo this way.  10 waves survived, and only 2 ops packs used.

 

I didn't even have that many Gold games under my belt.  I was just curious to see how long I would last.

Agreed, that is the combo I used for my solos though the 2nd solo was much tougher than the 1st for some reason.  You can still screw up the odd time and get into trouble but Kroguard, Geth, reegar, incediary, giant is a good bet.

Yeah, you can always get in trouble, especially if you get crappy objectives. And I like Glacier or White for solos.
