Good luck. Not sure why all other Gamestop's have their preorders done and not yours but who knows. I just hope the ones in my city get more copies.

Honestly, even if the employees were not reselling the game, I still think it's unfair that they can preorder before anyone even comes in the store, thereby selling out of the three copies they're being sent. If Bioware is testing the waters and seeing how big a demand is for this, why not say, Okay we will sell preorders from this date to that date and then count up the orders and make that many. That way everyone has a fair warning/chance to get their orders in.

 

Evidently dude was confused because the rude ass I got when I called this morning tried to convince me I was crazypants for asking about what I was told yesterday. I guess online it is, which sucks because 'it ships on oct 7th' means I'll be getting it MAYBE by Halloween. Maybe.

I ordered mine online too. Apparently if you shell out the money for One Day Shipping, you get it on the street date. So that's what I did. I just can't wait an extra week after the game comes out for it to get to me. So expensive shipping it is.

I just also sort of wanted the release-day in-store excitement and drive home too, you know? That probably sounds weird but I get to afford to do things I'm excited about on the day they're out very, very rarely so when I can afford it and the option is simply unavailable to me it just sucks that much harder. Ship-to-store, y u unavailable?

Ordered mine yesterday with one day shipping...had a mini freak out when it wasn't available online for a couple hours. Wasn't even going to deal with the stores around here because the same BS goes on.

I just went into the gamestop where I preordered it from (when the trailer and the release date came out) and asked if I could be upgraded to the collectors edition but he said that their computers didn't have it listed. At all. I found that to be really strange that it wasn't there on their site and yet I pulled it up on the offical gamestop store on my phone and it was there. This gamestop I trust a lot because I know everyone there and they know me for shopping there for years.

 

So either someone is playing jokes and already doing that whole cheating gamestop thing or their computers simply haven't updated with it yet. My have to ring another store or pull my preorder to get it... because something isn't sitting right here to me.

If you look online now you will see that is "Online Only". I confirmed this with my local Gamestop. Manager advised me that they were not selling any in the stores, only online.

I totally agree. Even if I wasn't going to be up there at midnight to get CE if available, which I totally would be for this game, My husband works right across the parking lot from GS. The only thing that helps me at all is the fact that even though we're getting the CE for me, we're also get a DE from Origins so he can play too, but I'll use the DE for immediate playability since it'll be exactly the same and while he's interested, I'm the resident fangirl.

True, but why not, instead of sending only three to each store, leave the preorders open for a set amount of time, then make only what was ordered. Makes more sense that way. Then they get their money and don't waste it on making more then are wanted.

It is very possible that manufacturing can only be done at a very specific time with no room to increase production on CEs. There is always going to be a risk of waste as long as there as still physical copies of games being sold.

It's possible, but for me it was announced/ unveiled one day and the next day preorders were available and then promptly sold out. Just seems to me that there should have been more copies then what there were. Again though, I've seen that preorders are still available in the US, so maybe it's just a Canadian thing. Maybe we are just not getting as many copies. I'm not sure, but I'd still like there to be more. I still think that three per store is unfair and that they could have at least not given us a limit on how many were sold but rather a time limit on when the selling of them was cut off. I could have worked with that. Going in as the store opened and having the three copies already sold was a slap in the face especially when they called the three other stores in my area and it was the same story all around. Seemed to me like the employees got the preorders before the public even had a chance. Jussayin.

Believe it or not its not the employees, back in my store anything above 2 preorders for the same game on the same platform would not be accepted, In australia the problem is the online store, ive heard of preorders reaching 20-50 copies in some cases, these are usually ebay resellers, in Australia one of the biggest offenders is dungeon crawl, Thats why closer to the release date more popup avaliable online, not because eb are hording them, but because they go through dodgy orders and cancel multiple orders. It happened with eso just recently.

I pre-ordered my copy in store last thursday. I live in Canada and the ebgames store I went to got three copies to sell. I got the only ps4 copy and was the only pre-order there so far. So in Canada atleast you can order it in store.

Yeah, I know, my complaint is that there was only three per store. They were sold out immediately. I'd like them to send more so more people can order them.

I was worried about this and reordered online as soon as it popped up, glad I was able to snag a copy.

It is like a giant middle finger that the store in my area could only pre-order 1! EA is purposefully creating a supply and demand issue. If EA is so willing to NOT have my money I am not going to loose sleep. The fact that I was willing to shell out $200 bucks for DA3 says how much I really wanted the CE and love the franchise.

 

Thank You Bioware and EA for making me feel like a valued fan and customer.

Meh. I would really like this CE, but I'm not gonna fight w/some company to take my money. I'll keep my $200. I mean, I'll still get the Deluxe Edition--and now I can budget in one, or two other games.
