The australian edition at ebgames has listed the standard edition for pc instead of the deluxe edition and apparently has been confirmed by eb games as staying that way. Is there going to be a way for us to upgrade that standard edition into a deluxe edition at all? For $209 i would expect to get the same contents as the u.s gamestop etc.

Wow I really don't see why that is, I just ordered the Inquisitor edition at EB games and went back to look and sure enough it says standard. You can't order the deluxe for PC on that site as well but you can for all the other platforms? What is up with that? Is it EB games being simple because my brain is hurting trying to think of a reason for this to be.
EDIT: After some investigation I found out from the EB games facebook that it is because the distributor for AUS/NZ is refusing to print a deluxe edition for PC and EB games is not actively asking for enough even though there is demand a similar thing happened with Arkham Origins and Titanfall.
That is really super stinky, is there any chance that Origin will be nice and have an option to insert some cash and upgrade from standard to deluxe edition? ![]()

I'm thinking that deluxe edition for PC might be Origin exclusive, I hope that isn't the case but it's looking that way, at least in Australia.

So, this is only the PC versions right?
My local EBgames (NZ) said they can order in anything Dragon Age edition related for me, but they might've thought I was only meaning consoles. If I have time I'll stop by on the way home and see what's up.

Yea just for PC versions, I sent customer service an email If I get a response I will post here as well.
EDIT: I just got a reply from EB games customer service, no help there unfortunately
Hi Rochelle,
Thanks for contacting us.
Unfortunately the developers of the game have elected not to provide a Deluxe edition of Dragon Age for the PC.
I apologise for the inconvenience and I suggest you contact EA directly if you wanting more details.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact us again, or give us a call on 13 39 30.
Regards,

EB games know nothing about games. Gametraders might be a little better, but never ever go to EB games thinking that they might know information about games located on the internet.

Yea the response I got made me laugh, but really it seems the only way AUS/NZ people will be able to get the deluxe edition for PC is either import or hope that Origin will have an upgrade option available, they had one for Mass Effect 3 so I do not think it will be a real issue it would just be nice to know but plenty of time for all that ![]()

I am sad that I have to choose between the bog unicorn and the tarot deck
.
I think I'll skip the digital goodies and get the physical version, though it grates to pay $209 AUS for something that doesn't include everything.

Everything in digital deluxe is in the Inquisitor edition.
Maybe bioware should edit that to say
Everything in digital deluxe is in the Inquisitor edition for certain countries only .

Greetings:I know there has been a lot of confusion about the editions for Dragon Age: Inquisition and what comes with what on which platform in each part of the world. We are working with all our partners to try and get the messaging straightened out and we hope to have a clear update for you in the next few days. Sorry for the hassle.
This is much appreciated
. I realise BioWare may have no control over - for example - the Australian distributors, but it would be useful to know exactly what comes with that very nice, very expensive box.

Thank you kindly. I hope it's more of an issue of miscommunication then PC gamers not getting the deluxe bonuses with the Inquisitior's Edition.
Because that should be a crime if you released all those delicious physical and digital gubbins but only for Xbox one and PS4 fans.

Yeah I still have a headache from chasing that up the other day...and Ive been asking EB for months to hound the distributor for Deluxe printing... still nothing. Heck right now you have to order the Inquisitor edition online atm - should be cleared up tomorrow
and yeah thanks for the quote...(from me on facebook)
...
I basicly spent 3 hours on the phone to multiple EB Reps over the last few months...

I just kept ringing and asking because I was so angry at the thought we couldn't get the deluxe edition because they couldn't be bothered... well at least we all know... Guess its upto EA now...
Side note... apparantly they are now saying its because the Publisher (which would be EA) have decided not to do the Deluxe Edition in a physical form in ceratin places... I guess Bioware needs to chase this up.

I doN't mean to be rude, but BioWare and EA should get their **** together, because this is a limited product, so by the time they figure out where the CE is available, let alone let us know finally, they'll be all sold out...

Seems to me the distributor is trying to buck passing the issue back onto Bioware/EA with that response. Always good to know the distributor couldn't be bothered to check the market for interest in such a product.
Hope it gets sorted out, as while I like some of the physical stuff (the map and feather and ink pot), that really isn't enough to legitimise $200 for the uber edition. As much as I like my physical media, I might just have to buy this one from Origin.

Oh gosh, thanks for bringing this to my attention, I was going to preorder this from EB tonight! I definitely want the Inquisition edition, but doubtful I will if it is not going to come with the deluxe goodies too. Let's hope it's just a typo in the release information or something and BioWare/EA will get it sorted out.
I haz faith!
