Grrr. Add me to the list of disgruntled Aussies. I have preordered the Inquisitor's Edition but didn't note the difference between PC and console editions until I had done the deed. Feeling pretty bummed that $209 doesn't get me a deluxe version of the game.  :(  Here's hoping they have a change of heart about this!

Same aye... I just automatically presumed that the deluxe stuff would come with the inquisitors edition so I pre ordered it since I am quite excited for this game, and didn't just want the standard edition... going to keep it pre ordered for the time being, hoping that we get some word soon about it all :) Seems quite silly that we don't get it. I feel like they accidentally left us out? Or... its all meant to be this way and they just don't want to sell the deluxe edition to PC players other than from Origin. Anyway, hope this all changes soon!

In the mean time, I'm cancelling my digital deluxe edition preorder over Origin and I'm going to preorder the Inquisitor's Edition from my local EB games. I'm hopeful they will still include the option to upgrade a Standard eidition to the Digital Deluxe Edition and if not, well, Digital Deluxe isn't going anywhere for a while.

This is what I did too, hopefully someone comes through for us - otherwise I think it's pretty poor form.

one big problem was Mike Laidlaw said via twiter that all Inquisitor Editions contained the Deluxe Edition in them

Yeah I just preordered the duluxe edition cos it was only $10 extra than standard, but one of my friends said it wasn't available on PC from EB which I couldn't understand.

no, its legal... EB explitily states that the PC Inquisitors edition comes with the standard edition not a deluxe edition... so its not false advertising.

Maybe, but  its still dodgy.

I just noticed the lack of a deluxe edition for PC by itself or included in the inquisitor's edition and was seriously disappointed as well. I thought maybe I was just not seeing it on the site and then came here and found out it's not just me... so yeah, seriously disappointed about this news.  :(

When publishers do things like this, you can't entirely blame people for pirating. Doing this is just going to encourage people to get the content illegally. Why should we miss out on p.c content (that is offered to other countries), and still be expected to pay more?

LOL its like they didn't realise we just had a Federal Budget that basicly destroys the spending power of the MIddle and Lower Classes...

Maybe it is to get people to use Origin, since origin isn't used at all for the console games right? Perhaps they just want people to buy it through them, and not the vendors. Since the deluxe is only done directly through them, perhaps this is to just 'force' people to buy things through their service. Maybe :) Anyways, I hope that at the very least, the collectors edition comes with the deluxe stuff, since it is a collectors edition after all. What kind of collectors edition doesn't have all the goodies!?

'Cept the Deluxe Edition for PC is available elsewhere. So it's just Australia (and Japan, from what I hear?) getting screwed over. So at this stage I'm considering importing.

What I've heard, the Inquisitor's Edition isn't even going to be available at all in Europe. Is this true?

I asked Game Stop UK whether the UK was going to get the PC version, the reply I got back said that they won't be stocking it in the UK. Whether that's a 100% correct is anyones guess right now, but each day it doesn't get listed tells me it's probably a bust, for the UK at least. I've ordered a console version instead plus the Origin Deluxe, so should one turn up eventually i'll just cancel but i'm really not thrilled with how this has played out. I was already unhappy with being forced to buy from Origin for the Deluxe, now this plus the apparent difference in size for the UK console versions, meh, it's leaving me with rather a sour taste frankly <_<

So basically it's like with most video game producers in the US? Don't give a damn about non-US fans.

My EB store contacted me yesterday asking if I wanted to upgrade my preorder to the inquisitor edition one.
Obviously being a bit of a fanboy, I said yes.
Yay for me haha.

Just a question - is there anywhere to preorder the PC Deluxe edition here in Oz other than Origin? EB Games only has the standard edition for PC, not the deluxe, I can't work out what version JB Hifi are selling and I can't find the deluxe anywhere else.

Well if thats what they want to do , why not have the Inquisitor Edition on Origin... My Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag Black Chest was purchased over Uplay (Ubisofts version of Origin)...

It's not in Australia specifically, but Dragon Age Delux Edition does exist for PC. Sadly, they're just being douchebags towards Australia and whatever other countries are being treated this way.

So, you can get it via import, not just origin.

Ok, everyone CHILL OUT. Keep your rage on a simmer in case it is needed, but currently you are reacting without having the full & correct information. Derek French has already commented that BioWare WILL investigate and get the correct info, so be patient until you hear the correct contents, then react as needed.

These things take time because BioWare is only partially responsible. The publisher and manufacturers as well as local retailers determine exactly what goes into editions. This sort of thing changes based on things like availability, local laws (we once tried to ship a mini-weapon as part of a German edition but were prevented by local laws) and availability. Derek will have talked with people and they will be gathering the info for you, but this means communication between many different groups in different countries. So that means, it will take time.

And I know people will say "but that is what it says on the retailer's website". Websites are updated with whatever information they are sent. It is not always accurate. Again, it might be accurate, but until it is confirmed, chill out and wait to hear the (hopefully) good news or the (possibly) bad news.

At this stage, I'd settle for just getting more stock of the Inquisitor's Edition TBH. ;A;
