We're not hoarders; we're distinguished collectors of NPCs both common and rare. ![]()

Yes! Yes! Yes! I liked the very concept of managing a keep demonstrated in DA:A (even it if wasn't the real management) and also I was overjoyed that Orana came to Hawke's mansion. But I'm sure that they would implement the recuitment system in DA:I. Having Orlesian nobles, Fereldan merchants, dwarven smiths and tevinter ladies in my keep would become one of the best moments of DA:I.

I'm a hoarder without ever having played Pokemon. ![]()
Regarding the OP, I totally support this idea. I will pick every single flower, mushroom, or weed; open every chest, barrel, or box; open every door; speak every single line of dialogue; and will definitely recruit every last person I possibly can.

...Yes
Which is why I hope the Keep has something to store stuff in, or else my backpack is going to be very full.
I didn't think about the Keep being attacked, I really hope anyone we recruit can't die, I'd be restarting so much itd be insane. Thats the one type of missions on TES/Fallout games I hate, anything involving another NPC because I have to keep him alive, even if he doesn't actually matter. Also I have to keep everyone in all the villages alive too.
Also about the companions and what they do when at the Keep, I hope they actually have rooms or move around. I didn't like in Awakenings how they just all stood around in the council chambers.

I'm sure will get to do so recruitment of non-companions, but I think a lot of the overall staffing of our keeps and scouting camps will fall to our advisers.
Cullen would hire the guards
Leliana would make sure to have people among the service staff
Scribbles would bring in merchants and craftsman

...Gotta catch 'em all?
I was imagining some demented Inquisitor keeping rows and rows of NPCs in mylar bags, but that works too.

I would love that too, loved the tiny part we got with Awakenings in regards to that.

dont even get me started, the fire emblem series is one of my all time favorite series, ive managed to play and beat all of them, mostly on roms... always hated when a unit died, though a rare occurrence it was, and always restarted the level to retain them.
probably what im goin to do in inquisition... im gonna do a lot of the rescue both type quests instead of one or the other so i dont miss out on content
my only problem with the last fire emblem game was the eugenics minigame it contained. i mean, i understood it....but i didnt have to like it.
on topic, seeing various NPCs we encounter carve out their own little niche in skyhold would be a feature id really like.

Yes, in DA2, I loved collecting people to live in my mansion. I wish there were more people to add as it still felt too empty. They just stood around but I imagined Bodahn, Sandal, dog and the elf (can't remember her name) added some life to the place.
ETA: In Skyrim, I filled my heathfire house with as many people as I could. Hired all the help, married, adopted 2 kids and 2 pets. I liked the idea of coming home to a bustling household. IRL, I'm so different. I like a nice quiet place to come home to with my husband and two dogs. I'd never have live in help either. It would just feel awkward!

I think it's going to be the case.I remember reading in a recent interview , it was an example , you could find a stable master in Redcliffe and ask him/her to join the Inquisition and take care of horses.
There's also Dagna who can join the Inquisition as an artificer, I don't know how it's supposed to happen though.
I'm so happy to hear that.
I know if they have suspiciously empty areas in your keep that look like they could be filled by someone, I will be searching the whole landscape for any npc I can beg to join my inquisition.

Oh yeah Suikoden needs to be revisited I loved that franchise it was amazing.
I love the idea of finding potental Npc recruits and them expanding Skyhold with different shops and other stuff as well. I would love if there was alot of quests/tasks that could expand their shop invetories as well as delving deeper into their backgrounds as well.
