Stuck in Raw Fade "a dreamer here is stopping this from working"

While trying to use the pedestal in the Raw Fade I only ever get a message saying, "a dreamer here is stopping this from working". I've talked to Niall through every possible conversation path, and I can never access the pedestal. Is there a bug, or is there something I'm missing?

Did you find the dreamer who gives you the mouse form? You need to pass through a purple portal to find a dreamer in mouse form (whom Niall mentioned) who will give you that ability. You'll have to fight a demon first, IIRC, and then pass through the mouse hole, leading you down a path that will take you back to Niall. Then, that pedestal will open for you.

Straight ahead past the pedestal, you'll find a portal door. You'd need to go past it and do some things before using the pedestal.

Ha, got it. Thanks. I kept trying to walk through the purple portal, but couldn't. Your comments made me retry. Finally noticed that I have to right click on the portal (PC version). Got the mouse form and am pressing forward.
