Which character would you have romanced had he/she/it been an option?

I'll try not to hate on ME3 to much.

But yes, that is yet another fundamental flaw of ME3.

ME2's squadmates and characters were EASILY the best in the series. Easily.

Anyway's, Kasumi and Shepard romance FTW!!!

I'd get on board the Kasumi romance path. She's a fun character that typically keeps things lighthearted, which is something I tend to favor in companions (which is why James has grown on me exponentially).

As for fundamental flaws, this still lies mainly with ME2, because it basically boils down to two things: the overabundance of companions for a single protagonist in the series, and the fact that the vast majority of them are completely disposable by the end of the second game. Anyone who was expecting to be able to have the same crew all the way to the end of the trilogy was pretty much kidding themselves, because that requires having their companion content, both on missions and on the Normandy, alongside their substitutes. And that's not even considering the ones that fans actually wanted to return that they missed in the second game (VS and Liara).

I likely would have kept my personal canon the same. (Liara)

But on an alt Gianna Parasini or Shiala. In ME2 both of them seem liked they were being setup to be NPC romances in the next game.

I think Brooks could have been interesting as well, if she was an ME3 squadmate instead of a DLC villain.

Kasumi. Easily. She's fine. Yummy.

Really tho, look how good they look as a couple-

To this day, I have no idea why Kasumi didn't have evening wear for Hocks party so that she could get in. What did she think was going to happen at the entrance? She was obviously not going to be allowed in.

Hock didn't let Kasumi into the party because he recognized her, not because she was dressed like she was. Evening wear wouldn't have changed that.

Yeah, I wish some resources had been spent to give Kasumi an alternative outfit to wear to Hock's party. Like Shepard, she should have been dressed for the occasion.

Had Kasumi's story instead played out in a book or a comic I'm sure that scene would have had her dressed for the occasion. That it doesn't happen in the game is probably the result on decisions being made on where to spend finite development resources.

Yeah I gathered this much when he refused to let her in, but I think it would've been better if he didn't recognize her and she was able to attend dressed to the 9's, and instead, he recognizes Shepard and waits for him/her to make a move.

I did find it kind of strange that nobody at that party recognized shep. Maybe it's just how I envision Kasumi, but I don't think "hiding in plain sight" really fits her character, like it would make her uncomfortable. But at the same time I'm sure she'd do it if the the job required it.

It's kinda amusing hearing one of the guests commenting on how the great commander Shepard is supposedly back amongst the living and scoffing the idea.

Should have been able to get them alone, look them right in the eye and say, "BOO!" just before you leave.

I picture her turning up in something other than the totally-not-conspicuous Shady Hood. Dress like someone actually attending the party. Fancy dress (no doubt in Japanese style), head uncovered, hair up in a bun, makeup, etc. - if she can cloak at will, it wouldn't matter if she made herself the most jaw-dropping person in the room; she could slip away in a heartbeat.

...how do those cloaks work, anyway? Infiltrator Shepard can cloak, even in civilian garb. Belt-mounted generator? Implants of some sort?

Kasumi is always using her omni-tool to activate it. So thats probably how Shep cloaks in civvies.

"There's an app for that!"

Can't be that simple, or everyone would have it.

And yet we've seen Kasumi all over her omni-tool for everything, including cloaking.

Just because that's the interface used to activate it doesn't mean that's what it's activating. A remote starter for a car is useless without a car.

Zaeed or a fully developed James' romance. For the most part, I'm pretty satisfied with the romances they included.

Never had much interest in non-squad mate romances (sorry Kelly, Steve, and Samantha).

I would have liked a non-ship romance. One of the things that always bothered me about the romances in the game (this is just a little bother) is that all of the romances seemed a little inappropriate given that everyone was working and part of the same team. I know from similar experiences that such relationships can end badly for everyone -- we had an entire season thrown out the window because of a bad break-up between our coxswain and stroke seat.

I think Gianna Parasini, Shiala, and Emily Wong (pre-twitter feed) could have fit that bill. I don't know who FemShep would have.

I like the idea of a Bailey romance for femShep. When he says the place feels safer with her there, it kind of sounds like he's crushing on her a bit (yes, I know he says it to male Shep too).

Soooooo. People remember that clip of Aria giving Shep a little mouth rape?

Well, I can narrow it down to needing to be heavily Renegade. I split the difference with Aria having enough renegade support to choke a ****** to death, and she called me out for being confusing.

It really does sound like he has a major crush, when a female Shepard was in that scene. I kind of like that idea too, plus, I could live with a Bailey romance option.

Captain Anderson, of course! ;)

For maximum awkward points, I must add.

Funny thing is, I said that I would do that for the laughs just to see reactions and ****. It would be the kind hilarity I would need to bare the endings..
