P.S. Imagined dialogue.
Cassandra-'Are all Qunari as quiet as you?'
Qunquisitor-
'Are all humans as chatty as you?'How should I know? I'm not Qunari.
Solas-'I've never met a Qunari before.'
Qunquisitor-
'Feel free to blink. I 'll still be here.'When I see one, I'll point 'em out to you.
P.P.S. I love the dialogue Sten has. Hilarious!
Fix'd.
As you said, the culture and the race are (at times) two different things. There's a difference between Qunari (followers of the philosophy/religion), Val-Vashoth (those who've forsaken the philosophy/religion), and Vashoth (biologically part of the race of grey giants but were never part of the grey giants' philosophy/religion).
Since most people who see a grey giant ("Vashoth"?) assume they follow the Qun, I imagine our character will spend more time having to clear up misunderstandings. "No, I'm not part of the Qunari." "No, I don't want to conquer your nation." "No, I don't know how Qunari do X, Y, and Z." Not to mention what few grey giants people see, they assume all grey giants must behave similarly, so we'll have to live with people being surprised if we defy pre-conceived notions. "How come you're so chatty? Every Qunari I've seen has been stone-silent." "Maybe it's because I'm not one of the Qunari you've seen before?"
Et cetera.
