That's great!...it's insulting for French and German speaking people because their sales are bigger, but it's not insulting for Spanish because sales haven't been the expected in former games?. Yes, who cares about customer's satisfaction?...money rules.

 

Ok then, Leaving aside your "long standing international customers" (Spanish have not that priviledge, of course) , I'd still like having the chance to get that hypothetical DLC and have spanish VO version, but now I don't have even that possibility.

 

 

I just hope next time you bet for Spanish speaking customers. Otherwise we could feel insulted too....in fact that's slightly how I feel right now.

Being spanish myself I'm kind of glad that they are not voiced in spanish tbh. I personally love playing my games in english and sometimes localized copies of games don't allow you to do that. It happens to me with the Halo series. I'd love to hear the english voice actors, because in this case I think they are better suited for the game than the spanish ones, but since it's a spanish copy and I'm not going to spend the extra money in getting one sent from the UK or USA I have to listen to spanish voices, even if I set my xbox in english.

 

But if Bioware ever puts spanish voice acting in their games I just hope I can choose which language to hear.

please not game with voices in spanish!!i speak spanish but i hate the sounds of the spanish of spain,i speak spanish of southamerica and i hate all games with trnslation voices in spanish,the quality of the VA of spanish is bad for this i love the game in english with subs,i hope never see a versión with voices spanish,is a big problema of spanish vs southamericans accent.

i remember the horrible voices spanish of witcher for luck cdprojekt after months launch a patch enhanced edition for add select languages and change  voices and subs the solution of enhanced is change english voices and spanish sub and problem solved,the difference of quality is much in voices english vs spanish.

So instead of buying the game with your language on it, you would instead need to buy the game and then buy an additional languge pack to hear it in your language. To break even it would have to be priced high.

 

Whereas currently everyone gets the languages included that make it worth the expense of hiring the actors. EA isn't a charity, they have a responsibility to their shareholders and employees to make a profit and to be able to continue paying wages.

 

As Derek said, it's not that they don't like spanish speakers its the sales figures. Cold hard economics.

Hello, Navoletti.  We know there are sooo many different accents in Spanish speaking people, but not just two: Spanish and (vs?... ) South American. Here in Spain there many different accents and there in South America are even more of them, so that confrontation is impossible. You could be Argentinian and don't like Colombian accent ... but HATE an accent... really?, what's your problem, guy?   "a big problema of spanish VS southamericans accent"

Concurring with others' belief, I'd say its the comparatively low purchasing power, aggravated by cultural tariffs imposed by governments of these countries.

About the Spanish voiced versions, as far as I'm concerned I'll conclude saying that I know there are excellent Spanish voice actors, and they do a great job with many many games everiday. 

 

From now on I won't keep wondering why DA:INQUISITION is not going to be in fully Spanish version, and just feel lucky for all those many many other games that are being published with Spanish voices which is happening increasingly often, and with a better quality day by day.

I'm Latino, but I prefer my games in English, and I never read a forum in Spanish (the most current information is always in English)

 

Indeed - I myself am German (so my native language is German) and I always prefer to get english news (they are normally more current - at least concerning news of the world...news of my home country I get in my native language of course, unless I want to hear international oppinions concerning something that is happening here)

 

I don't think Spanish is hated (note: my third language (I am not counting the ones I have learned in the past but have never achieved any real fluency in like French and Latin) is Spanish (I am currently learning that for my vocational training and it will probably help with getting me a job in the future, because Spanish is spoken in so many countries (particularly in South America and in the USA itself, with its large Spanish speaking minority))...yeah, it's probably because Spanish countries are not much of a market - yet (note: A lot of Spanish speaking countries have a lot of poor people (the majority normally) who live in slums...those are probably not buying any games, while the nations that speak German, Italian, French and of course English are mostly developped coutries with huge markets!

I totally disagree with that. On the one hand, as far as I know Italian is just spoken in Italy and therefore they're not a huge market, and on the other hand most of French speaking countries are so poor too (Africa).

I think it's more about the sales, i don't think RPG are very popular here (skyrim being an exception). 

 

Bioware puts a lot of effort in voice acting, i prefer to play with excelent english voices rather than mediocre spanish voice acting (again, not all are bad, just most of them)

 

 

But seriously, not having a spanish forum is almost insulting, is really THAT hard? I mean, there is a polish one. 

I think a lot of people here would use it, and i'd like a clarification about it.

I object about location troubles, sometimes i've heard a better work with "spain" accent in dubbing, I loved both mad world and anarchy reigns spanish dub so much that if i hear some version with "Goku", "Homero" and "Patricio Estrella" i would hate it... but also hear awfull spanish dub that resumes in monotone unfeeling school readings so the further three would be awesome to hear.

 

I said how much i loved big bang theory on it's original american english, in the other hand i hate the simpsons in it's own american english and preffer the "latino" dub same for dragon ball (which budokai and raging blast series were an awfull move with menus in spanish and gayish high pitched japanese voices OR unfeeling monotone reading english ones for selection).

 

If the dub is well done I may want to hear it, but since it's a risky move and ends in monotone readings most of time I preffer the original audio hands down

I agree with you in almost everything, but don't think It's because we are lazy to read. Just imagine English speaking people playing the German Voiced version with subtitles in English...I'm sure they will find it very annoying, not just uncomfortable.

The only Spanish I have trouble speaking and understanding is Gallego, which is ironic because I'm Brazilian with a Uruguayan father. 

Galician(not Gallego) and Spanish are two separate languages. It's like comparing French and Spanish.

I'm Spanish and just undertand a few Galician words, but I guess what our friend TheDarkKnightReturns refers with "Gallego" is a pejorative way they use to Spanish people emigrated to South America in 17th Century. It's just like "Panchito" that we in Spain use dismissively nowadays to refer South American Immigrants.....so for them "Gallego" accent is wich we borned in Spain have....anyway I don't belive he doesn't understand it even with an Uruguayan father because I have an Uruguayan friend and we speak with no problem.
