I can't pick just one if I tried.

Varric is a companion, Leliana and Morrigan are already confirmed NPCS (as well as Alistair given if he's alive).

I'd have to say my top 5 would be (in no specific order):

01. Isabela- Incredibly compelling. Since her role with the Qunari was so pivotal, I'd like to see her make some sort of appearance in Inquisition. A romanced Isabela might be more serious (and even have...CLOTHES). Sure to have a negative initial reaction towards a qunari Quizzie.

02. Bethany/Carver- They could provide the status updates on Hawke given their his/her sibling. A Grey Warden Bethany/Carver can definitely make an appearance as part of the Wardens faction (for good or ill, wouldn't even mind having to fight them) while Templar Carver and Mage Bethany can have their places as well.

03. Velanna- I posted this in another thread but I think if Anders is dead, Justice can inhabit Velanna and she can be the new vengeance, this time for elves (or for elves + mages, maybe just the oppressed in general). Either way, if the Inquisitor encounters the Dalish, I can see Velanna acting as friend or foe.

04. Loghain- Not many keep Loghain alive, but it'd be nifty for the few of us who did to see how Loghain's faring. Maybe he could appear with the Wardens as well, potentially as power hungry as he was with the Ferelden military. Like they say, no good deed goes unpunished.

05. Fenris- He was my favorite male companion in DA2. I could see Fenris becoming a templar with the lyrium built into his flesh and potential agent should you ally with them.

Honorable mentions:

Aveline- Favorite female DA2 companion. Truthfully I fail to see a larger role for her outside of what DA2 offered, but I just like her.

Sebastian- I can see him playing a role in Inquisition, especially if he took back Starkhaven (and given his role in the Chantry).

Sigrun- I'd love to see her snark against Vivienne and Cassandra, even if its brief. And for her to meet Varric. I can imagine they'd get along quite well.

Do NOT want to see:

Anders- Unless, of course, you have the opportunity to kill him again. I love striking down that sociopathic, whiny, polarized, psychotic abomination of a mage.

Oghren- My least favorite Origins character.

Alistair- Considering I don't quite like him...but he is DA's poster boy if there were any

Hawke/Warden- I don't want them getting the Revan treatment or even a default appearance

I don't have anyone in particular I want to see. Of course I have characters that I like, but I'm fine with them appearing or not appearing. Same with characters I dislike, although I'd be less excited to see them. And if any returning character is relevant to what's going on, all the better.

After playing through Legacy again, I am interested to know what became of Corypheus ( the Architect as well), so hearing something about either of them would be nice.

Shale would be nice, as would Sten.  Tho I underswtand he's the Arishock.

Carver would be nice (unfortunately, my Hawke is a mage, so Bethany's dead)

Nathaniel survived, so he should be involved in whatever the Wardens are up to (wouldn't it be funny if that bearded Warden were Nathaniel's replacement?)

Anders is with Hawke.  Or at least, not far from her.  THey each know what the other is up to (more or less).

Hero of Ferelden is Queen, alongside Alistair.  Whatever she is up to, both the King (husband) and Teyrn Cousland (brother) know what she's up to.

Yep. End of DA2 Leliana is looking for them.

I like to secretly think that they chose to do that with PCs because they did that in Kotor series but then Lucasarts screwed that plotline over and ruined Revan and Exile for us all so they're healing that wound... LET ME DREAMMMMM

Wait... Is that Qunari in the image really Sten?
That's so different from before.

Anyway, what I'd like to see is, Inquisitor party coming across Grey Warden, Leliana, and other Origin companions venturing together, but since that's not gonna happen, I don't really want any. Meeting Leliana in DA2 for example, that was just a minute-long cameo that didn't really have much of purpose. And I'm still annoyed that everyone always ends up separated.

The ones I want to meet the most:

- The Warden

- Hawke

- Bethany

- Shale

- Morrigan

- Sigrun

- Loghain

To be honest, I don't think I'll care if I never see Isabela, Merrill, Anders, Fenris and Velanna ever again.

Gold, I could have sworn the Warden and Hawke both go missing. Whereabouts unknown etc.

And what, pray tell, stopped the Warden from telling either her husband and/or her brother, what she's up to?  Family loyalty going the way of the Dodo?  Not likely.

Also, Husband and Brother are Family. Lelianna is just a friend (even if she romanced the Warden in Origins).  If the Warden asked for secrecy/privacy, do you really think family would betray her so lightly?  And yes, if Lelianna were romanced by the Warden in Origins, they've drifted apart (otherwise why is she looking for the Warden?) or else she is lying to the Divine (the Warden told her precisely what she's up to) or to Cassandra (perhaps followinig her to ensure Cassandra DOESN'T find the Warden?)

Point is:  Warden and Hawke dissapeared.  Why is unknown TO US.  Too many loose points to say one way or another.

Shale and Sten.

What I would really love is to see Morrigan and Alistair meet again. So. Much. Snark. Especially since I made Alistair do the ritual.

No not always, there are I think two endings where she doesn't go on her calling.

from the wiki about Sigrun's epilogue:

"If the Warden completed her Companion Quest and then says that he/she *doesn't want to lose a friend* after the battle at Vigil's Keep, then Sigrun will stay with the Warden, sometimes leaving him/her, joking about her death, but always coming back."

"Although Sigrun seemed intent on leaving for her Calling, departing for the Deep Roads to finish what she started in Kal'Hirol, the Warden-Commander had a knack for finding important and absolutely urgent things to occupy the dwarf. And so Sigrun delayed her long walk into the darkness for several decades, even though she never stopped cracking jokes about needing to throw herself at death."

01. Isabela- Sure to have a negative initial reaction towards a qunari Quizzie.

I'm expecting that.

Likewise, my Qunquisitor's sword is sure to have a negative initial reaction to her internal organs.

Is the Sten picture a modded version of him? i don't remember him looking like that.

On topic: Im ok with seeing anyone except Anders return, i hope he stays dead.

Yes it is. That mod is actually one of my favorites. It makes all quinarri look like they do in DA2.

The ones I'd like to see are Isabella, Sigrun, Sten, and Sandal.

As for the warden and hawk, unless they find a way to recreate them for the new game, they won't be seen in the game just mentioned. I would like it if we did see them, but bioware hasn't really said anything that would make it likely. There are a few really good suggestions in one of the other threads that I think would work to get them in though. So I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Other than people we've already seen in DA:I (like Leliana, Morrigan, Varric, etc), I want to see:

Alistair

Sten/DA2 Arishok

Anders

Corypheus and/or The Architect

Warden and/or Hawke

Most other people kind of feel like they'd be a cameo for cameo's sake.

Confirms aside, I really want to see Ariane again... I feel like there's a lot they could do with her, since she didn't have much content. Also Bethany. And Anders just to spite the haters.

You won't be forced to kill the Arishok if you hand Isabela over to him.  He'll thank you and leave Kirkwall peacefully with his troops back to their homeland, their very upset prisoner in tow.  :D
