Yeah so is decapitating ones ability to display emotions, and thinks is the best thing for mages. Yeah Karl really love having his emotions taken away by the corruption of the Chantry. Bombing them seems to be so justified.

Needs of the many > Needs of the few.

Besides they are not dead, just calmed and useful.

Shame we could not emotionally behead Anders after he killed the rebel Mages.

Yes I've played Legacy.

If so, then like Colonel Konrad said:

"It takes a strong man to deny what's right in front of him. And if the truth is undeniable, you create your own."

The mages are just a bunch of emos.

Look at the peasants, they're having a worse time of it than those freeloaders who suck money from the church to fund their education, room and board, and continued existence.

If the world were just, the mages would be executed and the money be used to help out the working man, like the church is supposed to do.

If anyone needs a revolution it's the people;  viva la Revolución and all that crap.

The mages will be the first against the wall when the revolution comes.

While I feel for the mages and want to help them, I agree that there are other groups who need the help much more, such as the City Elves and Casteless Dwarves. I'd like to help all of them, but if in the game I had to choose between mages or the CE/CD, I'm going with the latter.

So long as you are part of the many right?

Nope, if I was a mage I would gladly become tranquil.

Being at eternal peace while still being alive and useful is something to strive for IMHO.

Or maybe I could become a hunter and hunt other apostates or assist Templar hunters, best way to crush the morale of apostates.

I don't see anything wrong with tranquility.

Deal with it.

Just my two cents the right of Tranquility creeps me the heck out.  Please, just cut my head off.  Especially after DA 2 every time I think of Tranquility or see one my eyes start hurting and I just feel weird

You want to get decapitated if you become tranquil? You must have suicidal thoughts in real life!

(Faux logic)

I'd rather be dead then tranquil...

I think, at least according to Chantry Lore, that the sin of the Magisters corrupted the Golden City and then hence corrupted themselves into the first Darkspawn and the taint would spread.

Ummm, yeah. The magisters are to blame. They still chose to breach the Veil, and in doing so brought back the Blight. Granted, this doesn't mean every mage is to blame for their folly, but that doesn't excuse the stupidity and arrogance of those magisters who did cross the Fade.

WTF? Is it arrogant to reach out space and other worlds? because that exactly what we are doing!  and who told them their would be a horrific mutation in store for them when they reached the city ? **** happens goes with any research

Sure, you want to be one of the slaves they sacrificed?

There's a slab of granite with your Dragon Age name on it.

And guess what other totalitarian regimes have done in the name of research.

If you sacrifice thousands of slaves in order to do so, yes, it is arrogant, among other things.

I didn't say it was ethical research.

"We need to keep mages in isolation in an environment where they can learn to control their powers for the safety of themselves and the common people!"

"God damn those freeloading mages and that institution they had no say in being a part of."

Didn't the Magisters also murder hundreds of slaves to power their assault on the Golden City?

You're okay with it? Ok then step right up and get the fluids drained from your body.

Also don't worry about burial costs, I'm your boy and your pal.

I'll collect your husk and make it into a giant puppet to entertain small children and split the fortune with you (how you collect it I'm still working it out, does the fade have any form of currency?).
