My nickname for my Qunari Inquisitor is Qunquisitor. Can't wait to play.
'Are you really a Qunari your eminence?'
'No I am obviously a silver skinned human with elf ears, silver hair and wearing an Orleasian hat.'
P.S. I hope Varric gives us a good nickname.

I would be happy with the characters calling my Inquisitor by her last name...Lavellan for the elven characters, right? of course it would feel strange after a while beig called that by the closest friends (like happened with Hawke and Shepard) so, it would be cute if the companions called the Inquisitor by niknames, like for example Vega and Thane did in ME. maybe something from the background of the character (be it a Dalish nikname, or a Qunari one, etc)

Sounds good to me. They implemented gendered pronouns in dialogue so I would think it might be feasible for specific instances in the story.

Nicknames adds an immersion aspect to the game making each Inquisitor unique. It would be nice to add but I don't think it's necessary. I guess hearing Warden/Hero of Ferelden, Hawke/Champion of Kirkwall, and etc. does get tedious to hear at times.

It worked in South Park: The Stick of Truth so why not? Although I'd like a bit more of a choice than "Douchebag or Douchebag."

I recall that throughout Neverwinter Nights 2, there were occasions where a character would call you by your name, there just wouldn't be an audio line for it. I did like that, but it would be harder to implement in a game where subtitles is optional (NWN2 was entirely subtitled, as I recall).

It would be a nice option for the sake of variety. However, I'd like to become familiar with these companions before any nicknames are dispersed. Already shut Vega down, not afraid to do the same to these strangers as well.

I would be all for having a short list of nicknames to chose from, just to give us the opportunity to get through the game without our LIs/close friends calling us "Inquisitor" the whole, freaking time. I want to get personal with my companions! And sticking with just that title is SO impersonal.

Idk, it's worked so far in the show Castle. Mostly you just call people by what they introduce themselves as, and if that's their last name well so it goes.

I was thinking about this the other day, but I was thinking about it with a first name and not a nickname. I dont care that much if they do that though. I'm okay with just being called Inquisitor. However, maybe instead of Varric just calling me "the Inquisitor", he could have a specific nickname for you based on your race and class or at the very least call you by your last name.
