He looks Asian. He's always looked Asian. Some people just deluded themselves into thinking anyone who looks the slightest bit pale and blonde = white. And the last game had Vas smirking over Jason's buried head, this is basically the same thing. Ugh.

Speaking of Vaas torturing people, I wonder if we will get a Pagan Min Show:

Here's the stage demo.

More footage:
And I heard some other details: The bow has been replaced by the crossbow (sad facial expression), you can drag bodies without the need of a takedown, Pagan Min's forces will attempt to retake liberated outposts, and the camera+tagging will be back.

Hope this doesn't get downgraded to hell. Though if it looks as good as Far Cry 3 it'll still look pretty damn good, I guess.

I feel pre-emptively bad over probably being forced to kill elephants to craft a bigger wallet or something.

Honestly, from what I've seen it looks like a reskinned Far Cry 3 with some new features, Still, I like the setting and the crossbow. Also, will this game really have monsters? I wouldn't mind some yeti huntin.
Here's some more gameplay

I also don't get why they are still calling it Far Cry 4 or 3 -- when either game has about as much to do with Far Cry 1 as my ass has with the dark side of Cydonia. But yeah..

It does give the feel of some kind of Far cry 3 expansion. Hopefully it can be more than that.

Far Cry 3 was a hell of a lot of fun. I don't think it being similar to it is an entirely bad thing.
I do feel like it's being pumped out way too fast, though. I guess it was to be expected after Far Cry 3's pretty widespread critical acclaim - will probably end up like Assassin's Creed after AC2 soon enough.

While I do think the AC remains great. (With an exception of revelations) I really hope far cry doesn't get the same treatment.

Well, so do I. Black Flag was probably my favourite game of last year.
Just gets me feeling pretty burnt out when a franchise has a game year after year. I can't really say I get hyped for games that have that sort of treatment. It's sort of just a given every year.

Well of course it will - When they first announced Watch Dogs at E3 they actually said that they aren't planning on making games they can't squeeze a sequel out of -- Ubisoft: Closure?! What's that? Sorry I thought you meant.. To Be Continued..Far Cry 3 was a hell of a lot of fun. I don't think it being similar to it is an entirely bad thing.

I haven't played a single FC and I don't want to jump straight into FC3, so how long is 2?

I'm torn on AC. On one hand, I want the series to die. On the other, I want some unique settings to be explored in future games (Japan, WWI, Persia).

Far too long, too repetitive, and not even remotely as fun as FC3.
Seriously they are like two different games.
Anyway the numbered Far Cry games are self-contained stories, you don't need to play Far Cry 2 to understand Far Cry 3. It's pretty easy to jump into.

I'm loving these chaotic evil tier far cry villains.
Vaas is still top though.
