Wouldn't that be really slow?
It's worth it though. Speed at the expense of security.

Might wanna rethink that, don't they run the same game market as Australia who also bans everything that's not Pokémon?
Ruh-roh! Haven't really looked at what is banned in New Zealand or Australia! I've only looked at their residency requirements but haven't checked anything out seriously yet. Just a distant dream to retire there, for now. I've told my husband that I'll be happy to travel around the world with different jobs for the next few decades. He's game. Perhaps we'll find the perfect spot to retire to in our travels. There really is a lot to consider when moving to a new country. I'm even trying to figure out if I'll be able to get my favorite deoderant and spaghetti sauce in the UAE. Spaghetti sauce yes, deoderant, no. lol

Can't argue with that, though it may take days.

I'm used to slow internet. Where I'm at in the mountains we don't have cable lines that run this far and I would have had to cut down trees to get statellite. Didn't want to cut down trees. So, for the past few years I've been using DSL and not even the fastest DSL as it's not available. Downloading DLC can take a day or two. It's been worth it to live in a secluded cabin in the middle of nature though. All about choices, really. I'm looking forward to fast internet in the UAE, though.
Yeah, Australia did ban Bioware games in past I think. Definitively banned many, I'd get a list but not easy to do on my mobile right now.
I can in morning.
Wikipedia has a list of banned video games by country. Australia got it's own page. It looks like New Zealand only has 4 banned games while Australia has a lot more.

I'm bookmarking this thread so I can check out your link later. That's awesome!
I'm thinking about starting a blog about an atheist's experiences in Abu Dhabi to talk about issues such as these. Although, I'm not sure if I'll actually publish anything while I'm there to avoid trouble. It might just be something I'll write about and release later. There is just so much that I won't be aware of until I get there and I think it will be interesting to chronicle those experiences. When I moved to the small town in the south where I'm at, I started an atheist group here with a bit of trepidation and it went great. Didn't have many problems from the locals although I got a few hostile reactions. I won't be doing anything like that over there as I'm keeping my religious opinions on the down low.
Maia I'd be extremely cautious about your wording and what information you release regarding Muslim culture (even if you choose to do a later posting), people have been arrested and sentenced prison time for making jokes and criticisms/generalizations about the Middle East. Not trying to be nosy or a budinsky or anything but just be careful and best of luck to you in the present.
EDITED

Um, no. I'm Australian and own BioWare's entire catalogue. None of their games have ever been refused classification as far as I know.
Before we had an R18+ rating for games introduced a couple of years back, some games got banned for violence, but none of them were BioWare games. Some games still get censored here for drug use and sexual violence - Saints Row IV and South Park: The Stick of Truth are recent examples - but they're still available with minor edits.
We should've upheld the ban on 50 Cent: Bulletproof, on the basis that it's clearly utter crap.
Pokemon should be banned too, hitting the poor Pokemon till it's tired and then throw pokeball on it's head, and then it becomes imprisoned in the pokeball.
Shame on them!
He doesn't "have" to do anything as long as his mind controls his body lol.

New Zealand doesnt ban games like Australia does there is an 18+ classification unlike in Australia until recently. The stick of truth wasnt edited either
Prices may be high but I've never had any trouble.

Don’t do anything silly and get your self in trouble op.
If you go to a country then you have to follow the laws of the country.
This is ultimately correct, op you will have to measure the risks to rewards and decide if its worth getting in trouble, but ultimately it's your decision.
Best of luck.

Ah ****, it's one of *those* places.
That sucks. Get the hell out of there asap.
Canada is a good option.
Always root for Canada.
Canada is terrible because some BSNer in this thread I know lives there. And that person is awful.
No Bioware games have been banned in Australia, lol.

Yet give us a chance Inquisition may offend someone's delicate sensibilities over here.

Minor edits? A whole character arc was cut from SR4 in Australia.

On a personal level, probably but I hardly think it will be refused classification.
