The name has become so epic, it has to be a Varric nickname now.

I think his long name build up over time.
At first he was mostly Moustache/Spear guy (when we thought his staff was a spear) and then with the War room artwork , somebody came up with the whole dramatic hands.
But I can't remember who ended up with the full DHMG.

I do think I remember seeing the original post aaaaaggesss ago. I believe it was in a 'who are our companions' theory thread, but it might've been in the twitter thread too. It was before this sub-forum became widely used.
*edit*
I did some hunting and this is the earliest mention of him as DHMG I could find, but I have no idea if it's the original. They're just using that phrase to describe him though, not as his actual name.

I think DHMG were two parts that was made into one, the first one I saw use Dramatic Hands was "Tootles FTW". So it didn't start off as DHMG, but evolved that way I believe.

I couldn't have been as early as March 2014. I am almost positive I saw the name on the Legacy Forums when the concept was first released..
I hope Bioware can work the name in somehow, even if it only happens once.

Yeah, it seems like everyone was calling him Moustache Guy and then somehow Dramatic Hands worked it's way in there.

But I imagine that one is long lost since the old forums aren't around anymore. Much more likely to find the DHMG originator.

It is a good nickname. Anyway it wasn't me and I have no idea who it was, I doubt we will ever know for sure who this master of nicknaming is..
