I could take or leave.

I like her because the player can shape her beliefs and curb her xenophobia somewhat. Just wish that interaction wasn't so one sided (you need better arguments Velanna). If the Wardens are doing important things I'd prefer to hear it from Loghain or Nathaniel though. Someone with a little more gravitas.

It'd be cool if she makes an appearance with Avernus and the Architect who are collaborating on Warden research provided they both lived. The Elven rebellion works too.

That depends on whether she appears with Nathaniel...

Late to the party here.

Personally I think Velanna could be an interesting cameo in Inquisition. Since she was originally planned to be in DA2, having merged with Justice, I think that if you killed Anders in DA2 that Justice could perhaps somehow find Velanna and merge with her. Instead of justice for the mages, Justice becomes an embodiment of elven justice. Once he merges with Velanna, knowing her strong feelings, she'd probably be plotting something against a human institution and become the next Anders.

This could make Velanna an interesting NPC when the Inquisitor is dealing with the Dalish. Side with the elves in some situation (you know its going to happen) and you might find yourself an incredibly brutal (but powerful) ally. Side elsewhere or against them and she would make quite the interesting boss battle (or mini-boss).

In-game she'd probably be more agreeable towards an elven PC (given the elven Inquisitor is Dalish), neutral towards a dwarven/qunari PC and hostile to a human PC.

I find her dialogues with the others amusing (especially Sigrun) and think she would do well with the whole Justice arc. If Anders lives, I can see another spirit inhabiting her. Something similar to Witherfang and Zathrian, or perhaps even a more gentle entity that changes much of her more abrasive, angry personality.

Plenty of room to develop her further, so I wouldn't mind her in Inquisition.

I agree, there is tons of room for her to fully develop into a amazing character if given the chance tbh.

I wouldn't mind seeing Velanna as a cameo. With all that's happening between the Elves as well as the Mages, she would certainly fit somewhere.

I would love to see her and hear how she's been. She annoyed me, but I'd still be interested.

Maybe we can correct the Warden's mistake and kill her! :D

i'd assume she would take up her old past time of ambushing and killing humans again, if that is the case...Our first encounter will be the last.

Not in my games, I won't.

And she's too occupied with finding her sister to do that anymore.

What benefit would you get out of killing Velanna exactly?

In the Instance i described?

Four.

Removing a rebelling elf.

Pacifying a region by removing a threat within it, in this case a murderer who abandoned her sworn oath to the Wardens to fight in the wars of men.

Getting rid of an illegal mage.

I doubt she has gotten anymore pleasant, so it likely would be a fairly short conversation, so getting rid of a rude, uppity elf.

All mages are illegal now. Your argument is invalid :P

And Warder would have no problem killing them all.

Waste of a valuable resource but eh, Mages grow like weeds.

Perhaps a mass grave or two would serve as a reminder that they exist at the grace of the Thedosian people, not Divine entitlement.

Obviously.

Eh, Only if you consider the separation vote done by the Mages, binding.

They have to actually win the war, for that to be acknowledged, even then, good luck finding a government or state to back it.

:)  So to me? There are those who choose to rebel, those who are wise enough to know their place, and those who were never part of the system to begin with. Ultimately i only care about one group, but...the other can be targeted as well, if it becomes a nuisance.

I really liked Velanna in Awakening, the banter she had with Nathaniel and Oghren was hilarious. I'd enjoy a cameo from her but I can totally understand some people not liking her though, I wasn't really a fan of Oghren or Justice.

Just curious, were there any big fans of Justice? His fade warrior abilities were useful, but I didn't like his personality at all.

Interesting. So I guess you'd have those other Elves who might be/feel the same way as Velanna killed then I take it?

I actually loved Justice pre-Anders. Just them both merging was horrible.

I think it would be interesting if she was involved in the elven rebellion (or possibly GW business), trying to urge the Dalish to help. It would be even more wonderful if Merrill and Mahariel turned up in the same place. Unlikely, but wonderful.

I'd actually be really happy to see any Awakening Wardens again (except Oghren), since I can easily see them being involved in whatever's bothering my Warden and the rest of the organisation.

I understand but do you know/get why she became that way? I get many people hate her because she's not the most welcoming but at least give her a chance after you get to know her.  ^_^

Velanna is a great character but the problem with such characters is that you need time for them to open up and truly understand what's going through their heads. By the time I began to warm up to her, Awakening was almost over. So I never truly got to understand the character completely.

I'd like a cameo but then I want every main char from DA: O and DA 2 to be in DA: I even if its a cameo.

In my play through, the epilogue stated that she slowly began to accept humans as allies during her time with the Grey Wardens. If she appears in Awakening she will possibly be friendlier. Also if there is a conflict between humans and elves she'll probably be the one saying that both groups need to work together rather than supporting the elves outright.

To be fair, the only main characters from Origin and Awakening to not appear in any additional material is Velanna and Sigrun.

Dunno why though. Both Velanna and Sighrun could have been in Nathaniel Howe's place in DA 2.

I like Justice...he's very useful in combat and he's not so bad,he's a spirit that wants to do good!

I like Oghren too he cracks me up when he says in the middle of battle "Let's see what your innards look like!"

Anyways Velanna I'm not much of a fan of hers, I didn't like her attitude, I understand why she has one but didn't like it!

If we see her in DA:I that's fine but I'm not gonna get all excited about it.
