I think this describes my feelings on Anders pretty nicely:

 

Anders: I can't believe you're still not taking sides.

Isabela: I told you, I only like to be on top.

Anders: I mean against the templars! You like freedom, right? You hate slavery.

Anders: Why wouldn't you side with the mages?

Isabela: Maybe I just don't like you.

Yeah, I think Isabela sums up how I feel about Anders best in DA2.  He becomes a preachy, whiny, little abomination incapable of controlling himself and that started annoying me by Act 3 when the mage/templar issue came to the forefront in the game.

 

 

Anders barely spent time at the Vigil and he doesn't identify with the GWs. I don't think that works for a cameo.

Same with Velanna. She'd be after her sister, not sticking with the GWs after more than a decade. 

I think it would depend on if she found her sister in that time and decided to come back to the GWs after that.

I agree, Anders and Velanna joined the Grey Wardens for all the wrong reasons (Sanctuary and Revenge), rather than being committed to the mission of fighting the Darkspawn and had no reason to stick around after all was said and done. Anders either faked his death or went AWOL shortly after the end of Awakening, while Velanna supposedly went after Seranni (if the epilogue was accurate).

 

I can see them appearing again if they are still alive, but I don't know if I can see them ever becoming Wardens again.

True enough with Duncan. And Carver and Nathaniel didn't join by choice either, but grew to find a purpose in it.

 

Still, I don't know if Velanna saved that village due to her taking her duties as a Warden seriously, but rather as a way to atone for having attacked human caravans without mercy beforehand. Or it could be both, since she does gain more empathy towards others throughout Awakening?

Also Velanna seems very powerful for a mage, how many trees she was able to bring to life? It was like an army.

personally i would love if they add any dlc with the wardens to have all of the awakening wardens who lived in it and as for saying Velanna would not care about humans or gray wardens she had a lot of dialogue with justice and this is one of her endings.

If the Warden chooses to save Vigil's Keep, Velanna survives, though she does not return to her clan. Thanks to her friendship with the Warden Commander, she may eventually change her views on humankind. In the wake of the defeat of the Mother, when darkspawn stragglers attempt to attack a human village, Velanna single-handedly defends them.

but of course i would say leave anders and justice out of it well maybe if there is a bit in the fade show he is alive there but they would all be veteran wardens now would be great to see them all still working togeather. i dunno i always really liked everyone in awakening

i never used her cause anders was my mage in awakening...  didnt use sigrun or justice much either....  oghren, nathaniel, anders, and warden (any class)

After the revelations concerning the Temple of Mythal, there's nothing I'd enjoy more than an apparence by Velanna and rubbing her nose in the harsh truth. Elves destroyed themselves, Shemlen were, at best, vultures feeding on a dying empire.

That could work if you imagine they are out in the field as Agents doing stuff for the Inquisition so you don't really see them around Skyhold.
